In 2011 Resign Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo and Trade Paul Pierce

The Celtics need to get “Back On Top in 2010”. It’s only been a couple days and already I’m sick of the Celtics not being Champions! Haha. I’m going to pretend it’s still 2008. 

There’s no shame in losing to the Magic without KG and Powe even though I still thought they’d win while acknowledging that without KG/Powe, the Magic had more talent.

Pierce @ 32, KG @ 33, and Ray Allen @ 34 should be fine next year as long as they remain healthy. I'm worried more about the 2011 than 2010 with Pierce being 33 and his body type. Ray Allen is more of a shooter than a slasher and KG is very thin giving a light load for wear and tear, take good care of their bodies. Paul with his Partying, especially on Saturday Nights, and usually not playing like his All-Star self making the Celtics more susceptible to a Sunday Afternoon Game loss… Even though Ray Allen has been a borderline All-Star the last few years, I think Pierce will have the sharpest decline. Danny Ainge wanted to trade Bird and McHale in 1988. There is a possibility Ainge could resign Ray Allen for less since he was a shooter and loves shooters (Reggie Miller, Eddie House…) using most of his max salary to resign Rajon Rondo and trading Paul Pierce for a younger player that would help the team stay in Championship contention. The only thing that might stop this is Wyc’s man-crush for PP and has stated he wanted him to retire as a Celtic.

Valid Argument. Pierce lost a step this season, it could because of the weight lose.

One thing at a time. First lets worry about this off-season and 2009/2010 season.

Exactly and he most likely will unless they got offered a proven, young super star in their mid 20's which isn't happening.  I want Paul to retire a Celtic and I think there's a great chance of that happening.  We all knew the window for being on a championship level would be only 3-5 years.  Thinking about anything other than improving the bench for next season I'm not thinking or worrying about.

Who are we trading Pierce for?  Unless the Celtics get blown away, I've got to think that he retires in green.

I don't see us trading him through this current contract unless we're offered something that only happens in bad fantasy leagues.

I'm against trading Pierce. He's given too much to the franchise.

The only situation I'd be open to it, is if you're getting an MVP type player in return, because that's too good to pass up on.

I'm fine with trading anyone else on the roster if a good trade arises. Unlike Pierce, it doesn't need to be a home run trade, just a good trade.

I'd get rid of Ray but make sure we keep Paul working very, very hard.

Offer me LeBron, Kobe, D-Wade,and Dwight all in one bundle pack for Pierce and i'll still refuse. Pierce has been the Larry Bird of this generation of Celtics, and he's going to stay that way for many years to come. You get rid of Pierce, then you get rid of the heart and soul of this team.
True Celtic = Leon Powe

Bring back the show!!!!
