This is a perfect trade. We'd welcome two players who know Boston well and fill a need by filling a hole as a back-up 5 and 3.

What say you?

:)

Nah, other teams can offer a better package...
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Agreed.  Antoine was as prolific a three-point shooter as Ray was in his prime; Ray only has two seasons where he hit more three pointers than Antoine did in 2001-02.

Also, Blount is clearly better than Mikki Moore, so we upgrade a position of need.

Fill a hole with a couple of black holes. Brilliant!

That was one season, and how many more attempts did he take than Ray?

Well, he had a pretty prolific season in 2000-01, as well.  He led the entire NBA in three pointers made that year, as I recall.

When it comes to stretching the floor, very few power forwards in NBA history have stretched it quite like Antoine did.

This would be the Ultimate Ubuntu Challenge: Can Ubuntu overcome Mark Blount?

As a sociological experiment, this would be a fantastic trade.

Can Ubuntu overcome Mark Blount?

I'm sure he'd buy into the idea of Ubuntu. Mark Blount had the potential to be one of the greatest players of all time, it was our team that let him down and held him back. We should never forget this.

You do have a valid point, those incompetent fools Jim O'Brien and John Carroll should have played him 48 minutes a game.  But you must admit, no one was better than Kedrick Brown.  And to think Pitino thought Mercer and Billups was his dream backcourt...he would have fainted if he saw Kedrick and Joseph Forte walk into the gym together, wearing matching Lakers jerseys.  The Celtics would have won 20 games by forfeit alone.
