Quote
Brian Scalabrine was asked if he was disappointed that his team came out so poorly in a game like this.

“You know, that is a great question and I would love to talk about it,” Scalabrine said. “But I don’t think I should go there. But it’s a (expletive) great question.”

Link.

What do you think Scal is talking about?  Is he implying (like Perk did earlier) that certain members of the team weren't focused?  Is he mad about something else?  I'm curious to know.

Dunno, i hate quotes right after games because guys are fired up and then never mention them again. Be interesting to see if scal will open up about it going forward.

Wrong link.

Scal tends to be sarcastic at emotional times.
Without actually seeing his face and body language, I'd have to take it with a grain of salt.

Supposedly Rondo showed up at the game at 6:50. That's pretty messed up.

I think that is right.  We'll see if there is more to come in the next few days.  Would hate to see anyone get thrown under a bus for coming up short, though.

Again? Man. Rajon's a weird dude.

I agree, especially considering it's the 2nd time he did it during this series. We lost both games in blowouts with Rondo playing rather poorly on both of them, btw.

This situation could get interesting. You know the agent will be looking for the max or close to the max for Rajon this summer on an extension. To pay the max for a guy, the talent and the mind have to be there. I think his talent is there, but I don't know if he is a guy worthy of giving a huge deal to, personality wise. Just don't know him. I am not around him enough, but I do know he has to continue to work on that shot. It seems to get worse when he doesn't practice it a ton during the middle of the season. It's gotta be for Danny and Doc to decide. His trade value may never be higher....  (disclaimer: based on his talent and upside alone, I love the guy and would love to keep him:comes down to a personality issue)

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I think really there are a myriad of factors he'd mention, but he realizes he shouldn't mention any of them. One thing that is obvious though is that he thought we should have won the game.

If that's true, i have a problem with rajon this post season. thats what, twice now he's shown up late?

Also, remember when he told the press "you want a story from now, come to me" and increasing his media avalibility.

a bit of immaturity out of rajon in reaction to getting some national props?

(which wouldn't be unheard of, he's 23 and now a world champion PG who's getting love from ESPN as a guy who took a step forward in the playoffs... stranger things have happened than it going slightly to a young man's head)

I think it was Scal's last game as a Celtic. I hope so anyway. Just throw him into a deal to get Larry Bird back. I'm sure Larry could still knock down an open jumper, something I can't really say for Scal.

I dunno man, i don't mind scal as our 9th or 10th man. I mind him as a primary part of our big rotation, but thats injuries more than anything.

Scal's cool with me in his normal role, he suffers in the major minutes he had to defend lewis for, but i mean, we were kinda rock and hard place on that one.
