It still beats the alternative of having completely uncompetitive teams but the last 4 playoff games by the Boston teams are:

CELTICS: home loss in Game 7
BRUINS: home loss in Game 7
RED SOX: road loss in Game 7
PATRIOTS: heartbreaker in Super Bowl

tough stuff

That is tough when you look at with that perspective.  I also agree that I'd much, much, much rather have those losses than sub par sports teams.

Boston's run definitely isn't over though.  If Brady and Garnett's knees allow them to perform then the upcoming Pats and Celts seasons will be good ones.  The Sox are solid as usual, and have an awesome farm system to work with for many years to come.  The Bruins are also young and talented.  Sorry America, we're here to stay.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Fact is, it's impressive for the teams to get that far in the first place.  We can't be greedy as fans.  Sox won in 04 and 07, Pats won 3 times in the 2000's, C's won in 08.  We've done very well sports wise, looks like the Sox are gonna be in the hunt this year, C's should be in the hunt again in 2009-2010 and the B's and Pats will be gunning for it all as well.  We live in one of the best sports town in the country, just because we're not getting rings this year doesn't mean we should forget that.
do it

edit:  I guess it's a "burst" bubble not a "bursted" bubble  ;)

...and yes, we've been spoiled, but losing Game 7's hurt.

I'm actually the least hurt by the Celtics loss to tell the truth.
