We've got two conference finals coming up:

Caveliers vs Magic
Lakers vs Nuggets

What are you guys hoping to see?

Oh, my own two cents ofcourse. There's a few scenario's I'd like:

- two hard series
Because I want to see a lot of good basketball, even now my C's are out.

- Cavs and Lakers win
Because I really want LeBron and Kobe in the finals. Not because I love them, but because of the frenzy it could create.

- Nuggets win
Because that'd be hilarious. Don't want to see them win the finals, but I'd love to see them smash some lakerface.

- LeBron playing 8 more games this season
And winning it all. Not in the least because that'd mean Kobe won't be winning :P Sorry, I'm a bandwagon-hater ;)

I'm not sure who I want to see win the East. I'll have to ponder both a bit more. I prefer the Magic overall but I think Cleveland would give a better Finals series.

I'd like to see LA win the West. The Nuggets aren't an elite team, they're playing above their heads, I don't want to see them in the Finals, they're not good enough.

I want the Cavs and Lakers to make it to the Finals and for the Cavs to crush the Lakers.  Something like 4 or 5 games.  Lakers/Nuggets should be a good one.  I'm hoping Denver keeps up their good play and it goes 7.

As long as the Lakers don't win it I don't care.  I'm not opposed to watching LeBron get a ring.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

  • The good ole days.
I wouldn't mind seeing the Cavs (or Magic) destroy the Lakers.  But honestly, I want to see Orlando and Denver... I'm not too excited about the idea of Kobe and/or LeBron in the finals and the media frenzy that would ensue.

I want Lebron VS Chauncey. And i think it'd be a treat for Lebron to win becuase that would mean i watched a player have the best season a player could possibly have.

2009 Lebron James

Olympic Gold Medal
NBA All-Star Starter
NBA All-Defensive First Team
All-NBA First Team
NBA MVP
Champion
Finals MVP

i guess he didn't win the All-Star MVP so it wouldn't be perfect, but as a basketball fan how can you not want to see the best player in his prime? I'm sure people complained when Jordan was dominating, but Lebron plays ball the right way. LBJ plays D, he gets triple doubles, he makes his team better. Plus the Cavs got my man Delonte.

Although Chauncey is my man and it'd be nasty to see Birdman stuffing the Mo Williams.

NO MATTER WHAT THE LAKERS CAN'T WIN, PHIL CAN'T PASS RED.

Kobe, career-ending injury.

You become mean right now... but, hell, luck has been so cruel to us this year, so why not?? :P

Well, I will continue focusing on the Celtics and the news about draft, free agents and possible trades.

About the season, to me it has ended. I wish the Nuggets could win the title, but I just don't care much about the 08/09 season. I have my eyes focused already on 09/10 and our quest for banner 18 with a fully healthy Kevin Garnett

I want the Nuggets to win the Championship. Failing that, whoever comes out of the East.

Scenario 1 - Nuggets over Magic
Scenario 2 - Nuggets over Cavs
Scenario 3 - Anyone over LA

Nuggets over Magic would be good. ESPN was writing last week how a "kobe vs lebron final was every NBA fan's dream..."

I couldn't care less how the remainder of the playoffs plays out.

I'm hoping for:

Good news about Garnett's knee.

An early demonstration from management that they intend to make their epic personnel failure last summer right.

I still think our most favorable scenario is for someone other than the Cavs to win the title as it would likely precipitate stupid personnel moves on their part.
