Obviously, I am going to be attacked but Orlando simply has a better team with better players. Everybody outside of Boston a recognized that for a while. It really is that simple.

Congrats to the celtics for playing hard and with passion.

  • Let's Go Celtics
The better team at this point in time.  The Celtics were hurt and tired, they simply had nothing left in the tank.  If both teams are 100% we win in 6.

Definitely gotta give them credit.  It's not their fault we're hurt.  They did what they had to do.  Unfortunately for them they're going to lose to the Cavs in 5.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Last time I checked, Game 7 was still in progress.

I completely agree and I've been saying that since before the start of the series: they're the better, more talented team - and essentially, their defence is extremely good, probably the best in the NBA, certainly much better than ours. Effort, luck and HCA brought us to the game 7, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to go past it.

Orlando outplayed the Celts in 6 out of 7 games, then figured out how NOT to choke in Game 6.

Hat's off to Orlando

They deserved the series.
Yup

They deserve the series but they're FAR from being the best of anything in the NBA. All 3 remaining teams would pound them, so would the healthy C's. I'm looking forward to watching them lose. All I got out of this series was reinforced mediocrity from a shooting team that has no chance against a top tier team in a 7 game series if D12 can't be a bully.

Better defensive team in the NBA reg. season: http://www.knickerblogger.net/stats/2009/d_de.htm . Even if you consider that other teams, like Cleveland or Boston, can play better defence than them when fully healthy, it'd be pretty bizarre to say they're FAR worse.

Congrats to Orlando, they won in the 4th, when they are supposed to fold.

I hope they'll beat Cleveland now.

I was very impressed with Orlando's defense this entire series save one game. I had no idea they were that good. He is a pain in the butt, however, SVG is a VG coach. Hope they beat the LeBrons, but I rather doubt it.

they were more talented, by far. major match-up problems for us all series long. with KG and powe, i think we would have won in 5, maybe 6. but with what we had, plus the fact that we were dead tired as well, the better team was orlando. in retrospect, i'm really proud that we got this far, given the circumstances. take a KG-level player away from any other team, i doubt they survive the first round.
