I know he wants to prove that he's not slumping, but Ray for the sake of the team please me a little more selective with your shots!

He drives me crazy sometimes, can we get the ball to Paul Pierce are BEST player, If we don't win this game, (as pierce hits a shot) you guys know who I'm blaming.

I think well eventually KEEP getting the ball to Paul, like we should have all Series, and let Ray be that guy open at the end of the shot clock after the D gets broken down. I LOVE THAT RAY ALLEN, the guy that beat the Bobcats. But lets let Pierce and Rondo do the play-making and passing, penetrating and decision making. And Ray stay ready to shoot hit your open shots, don't be Iverson.

 IS ANYBODY WITH ME!!

I'd rather have Ray aggressive instead of passive.  I've got no problem with him coming out firing.

Ray Allen's one of the best shooters of all-time.  His whole career he has been creating his own shots, he stopped doing that when we was on a great team.  Without KG's presence getting him open looks he has to go back to his old style.  Everyone's had to adapt their game without KG, including Ray.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

This is a silly thread. Ray needs to drive to the hole, but its not like he's jacking up shots everytime he shoots it... he's one of the best shooters ever. HIS shots are shots that players can't hit wide open.

The OP cleary has an agenda. He's drunk with Ray Allen hate and it is getting ridiculous. Are you a 13 year old fan boy that jumped on after the KG trade? What's your deal?

Ray Allen does not take every shot. Over the course of the last two seasons in fact, Pierce has forced a hole heck of a lot more shots than Ray. A lot of nights Ray has even been more passive rather than aggressive b/c the offense has usually worked through Paul.

This thread is laughable. Looking forward to all of the Ray Allen needs to traded threads now after this series. I can't believe Celtics fans don't understand basics about shooters and slumps.

You have to shoot to get hot. You have to shoot to stay hot. Slumps happen. Basketball is an imperfect game.

Allen/Pierce/KG's games compliment each other nicely. KG was out and Pierce and Allen struggled at times. They also did some terrific things this post season.

Cut the crap, we see your agenda buddy.

You lost most people right there. Ray's shooting because we need his scoring, not because he's trying to prove he's not in a slump.

Great point. Ray's Game has changed into a Reggie Miller's. Not necessarily a bad thing. But when Paul is getting double teamed maybe you need to rethink how to attack the Magic. It was driving me crazy when Doc didn't adjust and have Ray revert to being the creator.

Ray is a shooter and shooters need to keep taking shots in order to keep going and get hot.  In this particular series, Ray had been slumping much of the time.  He was struggling to get open looks and when he was, a lot of them were just not falling.

I have no problem at all with Ray taking shots in order to get himself hot.  They were decent looks too.

I so agree here!  This isnt about playing the "blaming" game. It wasn´t Ray Allen´s fault we got knocked out. It was more of a problem with our depth in the squad and I do like Ray Allen when he goes strong to the basket and tries to get into a 3 pts shots off double/triple screens.  When he hits them we all love him but when it does not go down people tend to get on his back which is wrong.
