As a New Yorker and long-time hater of the Knicks, I don't even need to look at the list.  He would always be like "see you Sunday" or "I guarantee a win."

Then after the series when the reporters would ask him about his prediction that didn't come true, he'd say "Well in my heart I feel we're the better team."

What a joke.  I never thought I'd ever have to hear one of these from him again, but this will now be even sweeter when the Celts win.

Although I must say, that Patrick Chewing commercial I find myself laughing at everytime.  It's put together so poorly that I have to laugh.  And I don't know if Snickers did it as a joke (I'm thinking they must have) but it's just amusing.

John Starks is not walking through that door, Anthony Mason is not walking through that door, and our main man THE OAK is definatly not walking through that door.

Haha.  If there's anything more irrelevant than players making guarantees, it's non-players making them.

This couldn't be more true in terms of the player he was and with the ladies.  Patrick Ewing sweats more in a tank top than Broadway Joe did in a Mink Coat.

Fully agree -- Ewing should have kept his trap shut. It's not his place to be talking like this, not anymore.

Especially coming from a guy who lost the biggest Game 7 of his life.

Rivers smiles about Ewing's prediction

Orlando assistant Patrick Ewing predicted yesterday on ESPN Radio in Washington, D.C., that the Magic would win Game 7 against the Celtics tomorrow. Ewing, however, had a reputation of losing after predicting wins while playing for the Knicks. Celtics coach Doc Rivers, who played with Ewing in New York, was glad to hear Ewing's prediction.

"Patrick Ewing did that? We feel great. We feel great about that. I've been on those Knicks teams where he had some predictions. But you know what I've always said about predictions, what else are you going to say? Are you going to say no? But the Patrick prediction makes me feel better," Rivers said after today's practice in Waltham.

That clown better not show his face in Cambridgeport any more. Saw him there in the late 80's polishing the top of his black BMW like it was a coffee table.

Great quote by Doc! I saw his interview on ESPN, and he also said that he felt good about Ray's shots for this game, and he said "Ewing predicted a game 7 win, I predict that Ray will make shots tomorrow".

Can't wait to see Ewing's prediction denied by the result of the game. :)

Edit : what about Shaq's prediction history? He said this on Twitter : "Orlandos gonna beat boston bye thirty tomorro, yup I said it,superman 2, bout to go to wrk,u heardat "
"Patrick ewing just said what I said. Magic will beat boston in game 7."
