Ah, come on, how can only a third of you acknowledge the far greater thing that Starbury did in putting his name on a good, cheap shoe--than all the others going along with the hyper-priced, hero-worship exploitation of the kids who follow them?

Well, basketball is a business, if steph had a multimillion dollar contract from a major shoe company to wear there gear, I wouldn't fault him if he wore those shoes.

Steph's doing a great thing with his line, but if nike walked up tomorrow and said " 5 million a year to wear jordans" i think steph would start wearing jordans while keeping his own line separate.

Nothing wrong with making some cash if its available to ya.

I loved the kicks KG wore in the Finals last year:

As I recall, though, they were only produced in really limited numbers and were hyper-expensive.

My point is that particularly in contrast to what the other guys' shoes perpetuate--Steph's move was an especially productive one.  And he was a big enough star at the time that he could have gone with the high-end signing.  I say give the man credit for doing something that was good and bold and drew a lot of snickers at the time.  It puts his shoes on a whole different and greater plane than the others.

KG's finals sneakers were sweet, but Ray wins in a landslide.

Starbury stopped wearing his II's after the first round. Looks like he's wearing a new shoe...dont know if its his own personal starbury III's but they look nice with the white and green colorway. It has a strap at the top...

I have the non-finals version of these that I wear for all my current games, and they are a real nice shoe.  Feel a bit weird on arches at times, but that is probably just my feet.  Great support, lightweight, and no blisters.  I've always had Air Jordan's before these, and while I loved the look of them, they are usually too heavy and stiff.

No he wouldn't. He was the face of And1 and was offered deals from Adidas and Nike, but turned them down. He made it a point to wear the shoes he was offering to people. Even when they gave him crap about it saying they must have caused his ankle injury.

Agreed.  It's a crime to hate on the J's.

I didn't put them in the poll but I noticed that Eddie House wears some pretty sweet Reboks.

I also have seen Big Baby in some nice Nike Hyperdunks.

I also think I spoted Mikki Moore in some Nike Personal foul elite VIs.
