We all know he's a good defensive player and rebounder. However, he is a good defensive player simply because he can block shots because he's big, tall, and can jump high -- and for the same reasons, he is a good rebounder.  Having all those physical attributes can only get you so far though.

Other than that he seems soft as a player, and lacks the coordination and touch to be a good offensive player.

I think he can improve over time and is a good player now, don't get me wrong, but he definitely doesn't look like a natural basketball player out there.

Let's just say I don't think he's the X-Factor for the Magic.

He's a 6'11" athlete at this point.  I kind of agree - touch is kind of something you either have or don't, and I don't think he has it.

As for soft, I don't agree with that.  He's a very physical player who is going up against Perkins, who is in the argument for strongest player in the league.  BBD is extremely strong as well.  I don't think he's soft, I just think he's matched up against a couple of players who can match his strength, which is his only real asset on offense right now.

Maybe soft isn't the right word. It's almost like he doesn't know how to use his own body to get an advantage over his opponent sometimes. It's like he doesn't know how to use his own strengths.

He's mostly brawn and not enough brains (yet).  He needs to learn how to use his talents more effectively and develop an offensive game.  Being a physical freak can only take you so far.

He's only 23, like PosImpos said, his offensive game is unpolished.  Right now hes just a big strong power player like shaq (or even amare stoudamire) was when he first came into the league.  In time and with enough work, he'll learn how to finesse a little bit with a jump hook.

To say hes uncoordinated though, go watch some video clips of shawn bradley or even mutumbo, and see if you want to rethink that.  Dont get me wrong, hes never going to be the offensive force shaq was or have the versatile type of game like a garnett, but he'll be a presence on the block.

I'd still take him over perk 11 out of 10 times.
