Sir Barkley's preview for Boston VS Orlando playoffs:

It's fun to revisit this. Can't wait to see his next "Boston has zero chance against" Cleveland comments.

but to be fair, he' changed his stance over the course of the series, saying that orlando is more talented with KG and leon down (true) but that they can't even come close to matching the celtics heart and determination.

people are allowed to be wrong on their initial impressions. I though GG would be a productive NBA player at one point  ;D.

Actually before the game Charles still predicted the Magic to win the series.

but he qualified it by saying that they SHOULD win (which is true on paper) but that if they let the celtics keep it close, he doesn't like thier chances.

Charles is right, on paper, minus KG and another key big man, they should beat us. There not going to, but thats more a statement of how determined this celtics team is than basketball X's and O's :D

Besides Barkley's comments, why hasn't anyone pointed out that Kenny Smith actually predicted Perk's success against Howard pretty accurately?

Perk is one of the best defenders on Howard in the league.

I gotta disagree with some of you on here.  I don't think the Magic "should" win the series.  I think the Celtics are the better team, and did so before the series started.  I also don't think that Charles Barkley is free from criticism for his comments before the series started.  The Celtics have more heart and determination, true.  But that was known well before the series started.  The Magic are also soft, and don't have anyone on the team with a killer instinct.  That's also true, and also something that we've known for quite some time.

So for Barkley to make a ridiculous statement and say that the Celtics had "zero" chance of beating the Magic??  That's worth pointing out and making fun of him for it.

MIght be right about six. Just picked the wrong team.

Orlando might have more talent but there not a smart team. Any good team would have closed out those close games when they were up big.

Look, Sir Charles went to Auburn.  Should we really expect intelligence to poor out of his fat face?  Roll Tide.

I like that Barkley is picking the Magic, why?because all of his pass picks usually worked the opposite way.

What is even more funny is that during the halftime report of game 5, he said "I predicted Orlando to win in 6 games because they have more talent and this is what is happening." because the Magic had a good lead over Boston.

I checked on nba.com but he didn't say anything about his prediction after the game. ;D

PS : the Celtics have not won the series yet, we shouldn't get the ECF ticket for granted in my opinion.

Very weak defense of Barkley.  He loves to make these bold predictions, as if it is gospel. More often than not he is wrong. He was a great player but is a mediocre commentator, and a poor prognosicator. He predicted we would lose every series last year other than the ATL. Guys like him have used up their excuses, don't create more for them.
