Sometimes, the numbers don't lie. I think Hollinger absolutely nails it here:

Quote
"You've got a dominant player. Let him be dominant," Howard said.

Really? Prove it.

Just finished reading it.  Hollinger nailed it.  The rest of the national media doesn't seem to notice what Perk is doing to Howard on the low block.  And somehow, Howard doesn't notice it either.  Otherwise, he wouldn't assume that the answer to their problems was to dump it down-low to the "dominant" player.  When they've gone downlow, Howard has usually either missed or gotten a turnover.  His scoring has come primarily off big men switching on a driving wing player, or offensive rebounds.

Yep. Kool Aid also comes in blue, and I think Dwight's been drinking a bit too much of it.

There's a reason why he's called Superman: his area of effectiveness is about the size of a phone booth.

This is exactly what i've been saying all morning.  Finally someone at ESPN acknowledges that Perk has been shutting Dwight down.

I love how Howard gives no credit to Perk.   ::)

Yes finally someone with the national media gives Perk some credit.  Perk has done a great job on Howard not letting him get comfortable.  Howard doesn't have a great or even good low post game and Perk is making that evident.

Perk moves him off his spot and when Howard does roll Perk is there to meet him.  Howard has thrown up some awful shots.

He will soon have time to work on it - a long off-season for the Magic is coming.

Go Celts.
