i don't wanna hear 1 more person say that Marbury's tenure with the Celtics has been a failure, because he just did EXACTLY what we signed him to do. He came in when we were in an offensive drought, gave the team the boost they needed, and propelled the team to a win IN THE PLAYOFFS. That's why we signed him, all we needed was for him to do that ONCE for the signing to be a success.

  • The good ole days.
When Marbury was brought on, Doc and others kept saying (paraphrase) "you just know that he's going to end up winning us a playoff game".

He didn't directly win this win, but hard to deny he was the catalyst that kept them afloat and charging when down big in the 4th.

Well done, Steph.

Marbury is a scorer. Always has been. He also had 2 very good assists.

Marbury can do things, it's just a matter of how much time he gets to do it. It isn't always going to come in his first 4 minutes of playing.

"Stephon Marbury will win us a playoff game" -Me

Steph you had me nervous for a little. In all fairness to our bench, Starbury, your the only all-star coming off our bench ATTACK!

steph saved us tonight. we would have been blown out if he doesn't play the way he does early in the 4th. and they were jump shots, the one shot that he's been particularly off on. does this bode well going forward? i really hope so...a good version of starbury would be HUGE
