I didn't see that video before.  Does anyone know what game that was from, and what point in the game?  And what is he mouthing?  "It's time"?

It happened during game 3. The broadcast showed it in the 4th quarter (near the end but I'm not sure) when the Celtics made a slight comeback, they showed this replay of KG probably taunting the fans, saying "There is still plenty of time" when Orlando's big lead was disappearing.

When I saw it live my first thought was that it happened during the 3rd quarter comeback (down by only 9 points) but I'm pretty sure they showed it just before the end of the 4th when the C's were down with no much time left.

Anyways, TP for IP for an excellent explanation. ;D

Why am I not one bit surprised that some people took this PARODY way too seriously? If you can't take a joke about yourself/your team/whatever, then it's probably a good idea to step back and re-evaluate a few things in life.

The internet never fails to amaze, does it?

I think this thread is funny, and it perfectly highlights the lunacy on full display in the other "Lebron's on HGH/Steriods" thread.  Look, we're all fans of the game, but a growth on Lebron's face doesn't equal steroid use and it's poor form to accuse him of such a thing until he get's busted for it.

Plus the inserted video of KG with the chin is priceless.  What?  No one else thinks KGs chin thing is funny?  TP to the OP and IP for the best reads of the day so far IMO  ;D

because you of course didn't take a thread filled with mostly jokes seriously at all...

It certainly didn't gnaw at you enough to make a whole new thread and then make the above blanket statement when a whole 2 posters took it seriously.

Totaly not hyopcritical of you.

???

Um, I didn't take it seriously. It was obvious it was a joke, hence why I made a parody.

Gnaw at me? What the heck are you talking about now? I thought the thread was FUNNY and though it'd be humorous to make a parody of it. So, no, it's not at all "hypocritical".

This entire post seems to have sailed waaay over your head now.

you got all ticked in the lebron thread your making a joke out of, most of which is people joking around, and you spent the time to start this thread and then come back around and call out the 2 posters by my count who didn't take this as a joke right off the bat and your wondering why i see that as the pot calling the kettle black....

your amazing for using the  ??? emote . mabey i shouldn't have defended this as a non-troll thread when your only purpose for coming back was to rag on the two posters i told to lighten up...we all make mistakes i guess.

Are you sure you're thinking of me? I "got ticked"? I responded once - saying "Wait, are we talking about KG now?" - which was a segway into my parody thread. If that somehow translates to me taking the thread seriously and getting ticked, then umm, wow...

The purpose of this thread was to be a PARODY, A JOKE.  You've somehow failed to understand that.

Rather than focusing on the funny posts that have spawned off of this thread you reply to the 1 or 2 people (myself included) who interpreted this post as trolling.

Yet another troll-like tendency on your part...

KG's protruding jaw actually has quite a story around it. When KG was a baby, his mother dipped him into the river Styx (the river that produced such hits as "Come Sail Away" and "Mr Roboto"), holding him initially by only his fully grown chin beard.

While the rest of him was immersed*, his chin was left exposed, and thus allowed to grow naturally, a slave to his own flawed genetics. The chin grew large as was the habit in his family, and thus next to the rest of his perfectly sculpted body grew in proportion to his large frame, his chin became freakishly large.

This is the reason why during times of passion his comments are always profanity laced. His chin screams out in protest of its imperfection.

*And his knees. She dipped his whole body except for his chin and his knees. Not the best thought out dipping of the river Styx.

Y'know, it takes a true fan to know a player's true history.   ::)  Brilliant!
