  • Let's Go Celtics
I am just as proud of this team as I am of last year's.

They're undermanned and not as talented, but they'd be [dang]ed if they were going to roll over and die against anyone on any night.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Can I please get a TP for watching this game instead of studying for tomorrow's final exam?

Worth it.

Can I get a TP for holding my breath for 22 seconds underwater, its really impressive

Uhhh how 'bout two? One for being a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline., and another for having lungs. Unfortunately I can only give you one. Here ya go.

someone's snippy...I'll chalk it up to the realization you need to study now

Sorry--and yeah, you're right. I'm anxious. Sorry.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Anyone not get a TP yet? I think I got you all, but let me know if I missed ya.

Steph: (was asked about the elephant/ monkey on his back lol. "I'm playin basketball this yr That's enough...Just being back on the court, I'm blessed...Just happy with the opportunity to help the Celtics win another championship"

I hope that Marbury and the C's survive to stun the world and make that happen.

Scal on now: "I've never been on a team with more resiliency than this team"  Praising Doc "I felt like that's the kind I'd expect from Steph" "He's as athletic as the kid Derek Rose" 'Overall feeling back in the lockerroom/ exuberance"

26 pts for the bench

Still can't believe Stan Van was whining that they shouldn't have been driving in Boston. Weren't gonna get the calls. Should have just shot jumpers.

Anyone watching the press conferences? Who's the chick asking the questions that start with "I'm going to ask an obvious question..." She's asking some really dumb stuff... loved Stan's response to her.

dwight kind of threw SVG under the bus...said the coach needs to stick with what's working and who's playing well, whether or not its the starters or not...and seems pretty annoyed that he only got 10 shot attempts. hilarious...looks like some potential issues in orlando.

Just got back from the game. Wow what a game!

I don't know what the hell happened to the Celtics for those first 3 quarters, that was some of the worst ball I've seem them play combined with the Magic playing some decent defense on our perimeter players. Rondo was pretty ineffective, and hardly covered. And it seemed like the Magic got several contested shots, and every offensive rebound. I thought the tide had turned when Rondo made that contested layup in the 3rd, but then the refs called it an offensive foul. At this point I was worried the players had given up and had decided it was not their night to win. And they continued to play without emotion. The only standout to me in the first 3 quarters were Pierce's amazing offense, Perkins great D on Howard, and Baby's occasional offense.

But that 4th q wow wow. My friend and I joked that Doc was subbing Ray Allen with Marbury because that was a "smart" move. Then we watched dumbfounded as Marbury went on a mini tear keeping us in the game, unfortunately despite that offense, no stops came on the other end. Once the starters came back in, you could tell their attitude was completely different, that they now thought this game was theirs. Big Baby hitting his jumers, going for layups. And when Ray Allen hit that 3 to put us ahead, place exploded! Crowd had been very quiet for first 3 quarters. I think the crowd actually rattled the Magic on their last few offensive possessions. Wish you all could have been there, probably funnest quarter I've seen live.

Also anyone have any idea why they didn't go to Rashard Lewis more, it seemed like he scored every time he got the ball, and neither Ray Allen nor Big Baby could stop him?

Quote
Paul Pierce enters the game with 5 minutes remaining and the Celtics down by ten. From that point the Celtics go on a 17 - 3 run to close it out. incredible...

Can I say this again?

Goodnight everyone... Sweet Celtic dreaming my friends. :)

That's what I figured out, too! I was like "Wow, is it a fling at Van Gundy...??"

Tough losses bring such behaviors, they're gonna be fine... Anyway, Howard was telling the truth, so why to put the blame on him... :P
