lets hope this game doesn't go down to a pierce drive to the rim vs howard...because we all know pierce won't get the foul called ala 2 times early this season

In this series!

orlando is a 3 point team...when they make the 30 plus they shoot they are hard to beat...when they are off they are average

Allen's quiet because our screens are soft - perhaps because of the EXTREMELY uneven application of the pick rule that I'm frankly getting tired of watching.

In the first half, I counted two times by Howard and three by Gortat where the picks were CLEARLY illegal - running at the defender, slamming into them and then spinning into the lane.

Not a one was called.

This game isn't being decided by the officials - but the moving screen rule has been applied differently on each end of the floor tonight.

I'll take up 2 at the half. Better D in Q2. Hopefully we can avoid some of those fouls in the 2nd half.

Rondo... one assist in the first half. That has to change if they want to win.

The Celtics are going to have to grind this out.  They came to play and I thought played a decent first half save for the foul trouble.

The problem is the 3 Idiots who won't allow them to play, so I feel pretty good about the game -- except for that important detail because it could end up deciding this thing unfortunately.

Perk needs to stay in the game and Doc needs to figure out a way to free up Ray.  We do that, we have a good chance here.

This is the first game of the series that both teams showed up on the same night.

1 thing that bothered me was a ton of one on one play for the C's...running down the shot clock dribbling then throwing up some junk jumper...share the basketball and win the game

exactly! And if our guys do start setting solid screens, we will finish the game with Pierce at center and Tony Allen at PF

They are calling screens tight. Thus our screens are soft. And Ray Ray and Eddie Money can't get open.

The Celtics must make a huge run (at least 10+ points) right at the beginning of the third quarter. I think it can happen, if the refs stop calling a foul on every possession.

yes...a run would be very nice to get some distance...just can't allow the magic to hit 2 or 3 straight 3s

Tight on one end of the floor.

I don't care if they want to call them tight. But Orlando is getting away with stuff that always draws a whistle on the other end.

I am amazed the Celtics are ahead. How many times has Rondo's man driven by him and gotten to the rim for an easy one? He is now the most frustrating player to watch on the Celtics. They got great efforts from 2 players in the first half and are still up 2. Ray Allen and Rondo need to show up in the second half or this will not end well.
