didn't the Hawks have some gimmicky shirts for our 1st round series last year?

Man, I don't want to be down on a team like I am always on down on the Magic but I can never take this team seriously.  Between Dwight's goofy grin and disappearance on the court at times (also his undeserved Defensive Player of the Year), to Rafer Alston's slap, to JJ Reddick, to how [dang] soft the entire team is...  I mean it goes on and on.  Has there ever been a less believable shirt?  Beat Boston?  Give me a break.

It is pretty standard for the marketing of teams to print up some shirts for each series.

Just lame that they couldn't come up with a better slogan.

If you want to find about a thousand of those in about a year go to the small villages of any third world country. They'll be all over the place.

Cool is cheering for your own team. I don't want a shirt with "LA" on it, and I don't chant about the Yankees. "Here we go, Celtics, here we go!" is cooler than focusing on the enemy.

The "Beat LA" chant was a moment in history ... by the time is was used in a Boston-vs-Lakers context, it was already little weird, and now it's not really any cooler than Orlando's shirts.

Go Celtics!

You're telling me that's not a better looking shirt than the Magic one?

I see a difference in cheering Beat LA, than say a "Yankees Suck" chant.  Asking your team to beat the other team is the same as cheering for them.

And yes, the genesis was with the fans asking Philly to Beat LA...

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
Pretty pathetic that they made shirts for their second round opponent. You know what happened, their management wanted to make a shirt and decided it's probably not a good idea to wait for the ECF, since in all likelihood the Magic wont be participating. Making a shirt for the second round shows a lack of confidence in advancing to me.

Why do people buy shirts that say things that become irrelevant in a couple of weeks?

yeah because no one bought beat LA shirts last year...

You are really going to compare a shirt of a famous rivalry restored in the NBA Finals...to a matchup of the Magic and Celtics in the conference Semi-Finals?

Really...?
