I'll pay anything for someone to put a muzzle on John Barry.  He's as obnoxious as his father.

The Celtics have never lost a game that wasn't the fault of the refs. Seriously. You can look it up. The fact that most of the Celtics did not come to play in the first half and the fact that Anthony (13 years as a bench player) Johnson has lit up Rondo has nothing to do with the Magic being up 12.  ::)

I can't speak for anyone else, but this is the first time I personally have complained about the refs this whole postseason. If you don't think this game reeks one-sided, I dunno what you've been watching.

****.   :o  Yeah, I'm somewhere in between.  I don't wanna complain about the refs (my girl is listening for it), but they certainly haven't been doing us many favors.

Pierce is getting older and can't afford to play heavy, which is what I think he's doing now.

Random thought Dwight Howard really isn't that good, he's just really tall and strong.

I was thinking the same thing earlier.  Makes me laugh to think that Charles Barkley said that Perk couldnt guard Dwight Howard.  All you need is someone remotely as strong as him to be able to force him farther than 2 feet from the basket and it dramatically lowers his effectiveness.  At least on offense, hes still been a beast on defense, we need to make him pay for roaming around.
sure he's pretty overrated aside from the fact he's unquestionably the most dominant big man in the league...

Why is Eddie not in this game?  When are Pierce and Rondo gonna show up?

Rondo has ten points

he does, and isnt playing that badly, but Anthony Johnson should be a NON factor in this game.  Hes the leading scorer right now.  I cant believe Rondo isnt exploiting him.

Anthony Johnson isn't some talentless hack...
Rondo actually has 9 points, and he needed 10 shots for these. It would be really great if someone could make a layup though.

And I am getting tired of the teardrops. You have Gortat camping in the circle, take it to him.

Well he had ten when I wrote that and they changed it to 9. He has 13 now ;)

Did Barry just say Rose played better than Rondo in the first round?

Why did Rondo decide that in this series the teardrop would become his shot of choice?

Because Howard is waiting under the basket to block his lay-ups.

Rondo must start taking those 15 jumpers, hit or miss. He can't allow Anthony Johnson to play that kind of defence on him - 10 ft away and doubling everyone inside the lane as soon as Rondo passes the ball. Our half-court offence is putrid because of that, just no spacing whatsoever. The only thing decent were House curlings and a few rolls from the bigs (especially Davis catching from Marbury, but unfortunately he blew 2 wide open lay-ups).
