Here's what I think will happen. If we let Ray walk after next year or sign him at a discount. We will then sign a big free agent from another team, while Rondo is still on his rookie contract. Then after we lock up another good player we'll sign Rondo to a big deal. If we sign him to a big deal before Ray walks then we don't have any cap room to sign anyone else. Once Rondo fixes his shot he'll be well worth it. He needs to go from the triple threat position straight up to shoot, what he currently does is cock the ball back behind his ear (similar to Tony Allen) that leaves too much wasted motion and leaves less room for error on his stroke. Also it would be nice if he could add some muscle before getting signed to a big contract if he becomes the focus of the team he'll start to take more hits which could result in an injury on his slight frame.
