Not much to hate about this game tonight, fellas.

Loved the defensive energy. Thought it was excellent for the vast majority of the night.

Rondo=much better. Great job working the basketball and getting it into good hands. Great court vision, nice job picking his spots.

Perkins=Absolutely outstanding. Superb defensive job on Howard. Nice job being patient with the basketball and getting terrific shots. Great defense.

Ray=Shot's back. Terrific job guarding Hedo Turkey Glue.

Scal=Quality minutes on both ends of the floor, passing and rebounding, moving his feet on the defensive end.

House=What can I add? Terrific job defensively, very active. Could not miss.

Solid performance in all phases, the best of the playoffs.

The one negative I'd toss out there was Paul Pierce - foul trouble kept him off the court, and he was ineffective when he was on it.  Also, Marbury was ineffective tonight.  Other than that, I agree with everything you said.

I think Perk took his exclusion from the All-NBA Defensive teams personally.

You know, I don't mind that with Pierce at all.

His tank's been empty. Fifteen minutes tonight is great. I'll take it.

That's true, and I'm glad he got this out of his system in a game where the rest of the Celtics decided to play like defending champs.  TP.

One big one down. Now, need to come out with the same defensive energy in Orlando and get one there. I don't get the sense that this Orlando team has a lot of will, or a lot of interest in defending.

Agreed. Great effort from the Celtics tonight. What I liked is that they contained the Magic's runs at the end of the game instead of being complacent and rushing their offense (or trying to run out the clock too much).

Great defensive effort and collective effort : 34 assists on 41 field goals, wow! Series tied 1-1.

Hopefully they'll come with the same intensity in Orlando.

What I'm most impressed with is the contagiousness of the defense tonight. Guys who aren't great on-ball defenders - House, Scal - are getting the job done. Ray Allen was terrific tonight against Hedu and I don't know if you can play Howard better than Perkins did tonight.

Championship-caliber defense. Great job.

SVG said it himself - the Magic don't look like they want any part of Boston when the Celtics play hard.  As for their defense, it's very overrated and based entirely on teams being afraid to attack the basket because of Dwight Howard.  When Rondo lives in the paint anyway, he gets triple-doubles and the C's get wins.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves.  There's no reason to stop thinking the Cavs are the best team in basketball.

Point to be made there since I get on Rondo's case pretty good when he goes passive.

There's a HUGE difference between just barreling into the lane and getting into the paint under control with distribution opportunities. Rondo was excellent at the latter tonight and that's why he was dropping dimes all over the building.

When the kid is active with the dribble, great things happen for this offense. Got to stay active, Rondo.
