Anyone know who is filling in for Remy tonight for the Sox game?

I can't figure out who he is, but man...he's really telling it like it is haha.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?  He's not holding back at all.  You know how alot of announcers will sorta dance around the truth so they don't sound insulting or hurtful?  This guy doesn't care about that haha.  He's being honest and straight.  If there's been a bad at-bat, whether it be Sox or Yanks, he'll say flat out "that was terrible."

Josh Beckett just threw a pitch that was called a strike and he said "wow, how in the world was that a strike?  That pitch was terrible."

If something is bad, he's not dancing around it.  He's telling it like it is, whether its for or against the Red Sox.

I do like Tommy.  I understand he can be a little ridiculous at times, and be overly loud...but it's humorous.

This guy filling in for Remy and Tommy are very similar.  The biggest difference is that the guy filling in for Remy isn't screaming into the mic.  He's also not as biased towards our team.

Its Dennis Eckersley, he did the game last night too though i didnt see much of that one. Eck certainly tells it like it is, i remember a game he announced like 4 years ago where Glendon Rusch pitched against the Sox and was garbage. Eck was saying how he does not belong in a major league uniform and is terrible, was pretty funny.

I'm pretty sure it's Dennis Eckersley...I agree, he's doing an awesome job.

I'm a huge fan of Eck.  Love the "saying it how it is" mentality that he brings. No sugarcoating there. He does an excellent job when he's in studio for NESN and I thought he is one of the very few highlights of TBS' national coverage of the playoffs.

Glad to see him on color filling in for Remy.
