Did anyone see Webber on TNT saying that the C's don't have a backcourt advantage.  Then, he pointed out how Turk can get lots of open looks.  Ok, first of all, Turk plays the 3 (which doesn't fit into the general definition of backcourt).  Second, if you do want to count the 3 in the backcourt, then wouldn't you say that Rondo, Allen and Pierce are a little better than Alston, Reddick and Turk?  Come on Webber, can you perhaps hide your anti-Celtic bias just a bit?

Yeah, it's a ridiculous statement.  Rondo and Ray both played poorly last night, but in terms of their respective talents and track records, they're much better than Redick and Alston.

Orlando has a better front court.  Pierce trumps Turkuglu, but Lewis/Howard is significantly better than BBD/Perk.  However, to argue that Orlando is better in the back court as well is just an example of a commentator saying something to be controversial.

Even Kenny Smith, who has made some ridiculous statements regarding Rondo, was just shaking his head in amazement with what was coming out of Webber's mouth.

  • Rondo = Good
Yeah, that's idiotic.  It's obvious that their frontcourt is superior (Dwight Howard, duh...though if we had KG that would be harder to argue), but our backcourt is clearly better - if they are actually playing well.

When on their game, Rondo and Ray are obviously better than Alston and Reddick, and generally speaking Pierce is better than Turk whether you want to count them as frontcourt or backcourt.
