Do you think the Celtics have plans to bring back Marbury in the offseason? In my opinion, I don't think he's done enough to prove he's a starter anywhere, and think he'd be willing to come back to the Cs for a second season in the system with a healthy KG to try and win one. What do you think?
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
It's probably true that he hasn't earned a big contract or big minutes anywhere, so who knows, him and Eddie in the backcourt could be even more effective if they have more time together.

If Starbury signs cheaply (under $2 million), I expect the Celts will have interest in bringing him back.

you know what's funny?

I'd take washed up Gary Payton during his Boston stint any day over washed up Sam Cassell last year or washed up Suckbury this year.

Yeah, Payton played really good during his time here.

What makes you think AI would play for the MLE and come off the bench?  That will never happen.

I agree.  AI's ego is too big.  He still sees himself as a top-dollar starter, and he won't play if he's anything else.  I don't want him here, and he won't come here.

AI in boston would make the signing of moore look like a strok of genius. No locker room is big enough to handle that guy. He sucks and is overrated. I would rather have walker back jacking crap up from half court than that quiter.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

  • Rondo = Good
Marbury and Eddie have great on-court chemistry and only seem to be getting better, so I'd say definitely, if he's willing to sign for $2 mil or less (which is a fair value for what he's given us).

I want to see Marbury succeed as a solid guard off the bench, ideally with us.  From what I've seen I believe he will continue to give us better and better minutes with more time to get in shape and get used to how we do things.  As long as we don't pay him much, if he ever becomes a problem again, it'd be easy to get rid of him.

If Marbury ends up playing the way we want him to play then don't be alarmed if another franchise offers him a sweeter deal.

He's only 32 and with a full summer camp under him (and if he keeps his new team first attitude)he still  has juice to go and I can see Miami, Detroit and even Houston offering him a mid level contract.

You can see flashes of the vintage Marbury and if Rondo wasn't such a great point guard, Marbury would have so much more time on the court.

A lot of people still haven't bought into him but dont think the Celtics are his only option.

Hehe you wouldn't?  Really?

GP averaged 11 points, 6 assists 3 rebounds and a steal.  47% shooting.  Not too bad.  More minutes than the others, but effective enough minutes.

Sam averaged 7 points, 2 assists and 2 rebounds on a spectacular 38% shooting.

I think suckbury is shooting 34%... all three of them were bad defenders by the time they came to Boston.

Heck yeah... I take washed up GP over either of those bums.
