Irrespective of the bulls series I knew Ben Gordon had a strong case to make all-star next year and after the series i thought that he'd be robbed if he didn't make it; Subject to next years performance as well, of course.

How about JR Smith? Or the Birdman? Or have i been watching too much Nuggets beating the mavs? On a side note i think the lakers are gona have their hands full.

P.s Note that Rondo is excluded from the list above because i dont consider him a "potential" i genuinely consider him a "lock".

Birdman- no
JR Smith- no

Both are good role players, but nothing more than that. I would say comprable to what Perk and and Baby are to the celtics... I don't see either of them making an all star team any time soon (maybe in the future, after the big 3 are gone).

Players I would consider would be rondo (obviously), Derrick Rose (over gordon), Al Jefferson, Lamarcus Aldridge, and OJ Mayo... Perk may have a shot in a few years when Zadrunis (sp?) falls off as the number 2 big man to Dwight Howard in the East. But the I highly doubt the league would let the celtics have their entire starting 5 on the all star team, so not any time soon.

I think Derrick Rose has a better shot than Gordon.

Kevin Durant hasn't earned it quite yet, but its a shame about Al.

I think Deron Williams is probably close to a lock next year.

Other people who I could see feasibly making it, but nowhere near locks:  Iguodala, Josh Smith, Kevin Martin (similar in many ways to Ben Gordon).

Wearing my homer-glasses, but given how well Perk played in the first round...  if he continues on that level and just keeps getting a little bit better (like he has every year he's been in the League), how many centers in the East are better than him?  Dwight Howard, of course, but who else?  Big Z?

He's not one of the twelve best players in the east.

He's not one of the four best centers in the NBA; I'd put Howard, Yao, Shaq, Big Al, Duncan, and a few others ahead of him.

But, most of the really GOOD centers are still in the West.  In the Eastern Conference, who else would you take other than Howard?  Brook Lopez?  David Lee (who knows where he'll be playing, anyway)

I mean, they'll probably cop out and just bring along another PF, but can't you make a legitimate case that Perk is the second-best pure center in the Eastern Conference and therefore deserves to be considered for the All Star Game?

Hell, if Jamal Magloire can make it, why not our guy?

i think Perk will retire as a multiple time All-defensive team, 1 time all-star.

Al Jefferson, Rajon Rondo, Deron Williams, Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant.

Nice list.  Hard to believe DWill can't break into the ASG in the West...

Iverson is done in ASG's (although Rondo will probably get snubbed by Rose and/or Nelson), Nash probably will be soon.  DWill should get his shot.
God bless and good night!
