They knew that we were going to Allen for those threes tonight and they couldn't stop him.  Game 5 they knew Pierce was going to take every last shot and they couldn't stop him.  Why would this be any different?

Signed up just to vent on this play...Rondo SHOULD NEVER take the last shot. Not when you got the greatest clutch player in the game in Ray Allen. Plenty of time to run screens for him yet Rondo for as long as i can remember he barely ever made a last second shot. Btw i love what's Rondo is doing this series but when it comes to last shot only one person should take it and it is Ray, then Pierce, and since House was in there i would bank money on him over Rondo any day of the week. SOOOOO FRUSTRATED, right now, IMO Rondo does not have what it takes to have the last play revolves around him, granted Doc prolly trusts him, but he is not a good shooter yet...LET RAY SHOOT THE BALL OMGGGGG. Never been so p---ed off at a last chance play before. Sorry for vent. Again Rondo i think you are great but not cluth...yet  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

One answer. Fire this guy already. Just horrible coaching. You have something special in Ray & you go to Pierce & Rondo. When will you learn? Dumb a** coach

yup, he didn't help us to our first title in 20 years or anything? or help a piecemeal team get to a game 7 against a formidible opponent. Nope; Doc's the worst ever

im a strong beliver that it's the talent you are givin..not the coach...doc didnt get a ring till ray and kev got here....please dont blame doc..he is tryin to bring the best out of what he has to work wit...give doc his props..please

Firing him is, of course, absurd.

About as absurd as his game management down the stretch in regulation.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Ray made 3 clutch last 2nd shot while getting faced and made them....Rondo gets blocks or airball 99% of the time. Not hating on Rondo, just a fact. Doc gets blame for this, not fired but over trusting Rondo on last shot is a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.tiest decision i ever seen. Venting still. ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

Most frustrating play ever.  On a night where the Celtics made so many clutch plays, granted the Bulls countered everything the Celtics did.

I hate the fact that we are talking about this, if we had lost because a Ray Allen 3 was blocked I don't think any one be complaining.  But when you have possibly the most clutch shooter in NBA history that already has 51, you want your best shooter taking that shot.

If Rondo is going to make the last play you want to at least have him play to his strength.  Rondo is not a jump shot player, definately not know for his fade away jumper.  His strength is driving to the basket.  I don't think I would have had a problem with Rondo taking the last shot if it was a drive to the rim.  I would rather have the game in Ray's hands but would not complain if Rondo had drove the lane.  The shot we ended up with, looked more suited to Pierce than Rondo.

There's something that Doc should address... Specifically, Rondo's decision making in end-of-clock situations.  More specifically, he's terrible.

I don't know how many times I've seen this play in those situations:  Rondo about 18 feet from the hoop, dribbling a couple of times in between his legs and then pulling up for a jumper as the clock expires.  CLANG.  This just isn't his game, for every one time he makes it there's five that he doesn't.

I don't know why he does this.  Maybe Doc gives him the ball, tells him to make something happen, and that's the only thing that Rondo can think of in the situation.  Maybe he panics and forgets about the other four guys on his team.  Maybe he's hearing the SportsCenter tone in his head and wants to be the hero.  It doesn't really matter though.

All that really matters is that Doc grills him about this.  We had the ball down one at the end of the game and a player who had already poured in 51 POINTS on the night.  So Rondo takes the ball on the wing and tries a turnaround jumper over a bigger player.  Rose will get all the credit for a game-saving block, but really this was just a dumb play.  If Rondo is going to go for game, it needs to be going to the hole.  Plays like this have irritated me before, but they haven't cost us the game - until now.  Given the variables - Rondo's lack of success on that type of move, Rondo's bad shooting night and Ray's out-of-his-mind night - I would have been rather happy with Ray hoisting one from 35 feet, certainly happier than I was with what Rondo did.

What makes me mad with this team is that whenever Ray has a great game( and I mean really GREAT), when you see that the guy is just an absolute killer, even though he has already played 55+ minutes, his teammates just don't give him the ball as if he was on the bench.

Can you believe that Ray didn't try a single shot after he hit the two to go in triple overtime? It makes me so mad. The Bulls defended him well though but still you've got to give him the ball even if he has 2 players in front of him, it would be better than Rondo jacking up that shot.

I feel so frustrated, and I'm not even talking about Pierce's lame shot to hit the game winner when he looked in front of him, saw Ray wide open and decided to shoot the ball anyway. You can argue that he hadn't many time left to make the pass, 1 or 2 seconds I guess but still...

I'm so mad and frustrated for Ray and for this lost opportunity, I'd been so great to see Ray hit the buzzer beater winning shot after this great game. Still Ray was unbelievable but it's frustrating that is has ended in a losing effort.
