All Rookie team Announced

The NBA has announced the all Rookie team today:

Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls and O.J. Mayo of the Memphis Grizzlies were unanimous selections to the 2008-09 T-Mobile NBA All-Rookie First Team, the NBA announced today.

Rounding out the T-Mobile NBA All-Rookie First Team are Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook (53 points), New Jersey's Brook Lopez (49 points) and Miami's Michael Beasley (44 points).

How is Kevin Love gonna be left off the rookie team all star weekend and left off the all rookie team. He deserves it as much as Beasley or even maybe Lopez IMO

Love deserves it over Beasley but certainly not over Lopez.

I've seen Lopez play a lot more than I've seen Love, but considering Love has extremely similar stats in less starts and less mins per game, I'd say considering him over Lopez is pretty fair. Maybe not conclusive but he deserves a look.

Beasley had no business being anywhere near either the first or second All-Rookie teams

Disappointing to see Love being passed over here.

Brook Lopez is one of my favorite centers in the whole league, not just rookies. i like Marc Gasol as well.

Love deserves to be on that team. I think he's been the second or third best rookie. He's just not a scorer.

Plus he doesn't have as much "potential" in people's minds. Rookie awards are as much about potential as the draft.
