If it was a choice LA or Cavs, Id have to say Id rather see the Cavs win, If that sounds like Im backtracking I just have such a hatred for the Lakers it doesnt matter whos playing them I want them to lose.
"Sam Cassell was heckling on the sideline when I walked down, He looked at me and was like, ‘You're getting the ball, I know you're getting the ball!'
said Allen.

And did Cassell, a man of many words, have anything to say after that?

"No, I told him he needed to wear a tie."

I hate the Cavs more than the Lakers but I hate the Lakers fans more than the Cavs fans so I'd rather see the Celtics lose in the ECF against Cleveland because losing the series against the Lakers in the Finals would make their fans' speeches even more stupid and they would never end.

But if you ask me, I'd rather see Boston win it all. :)

I'd rather lose to the Lakers than see the Cavs win it all. After living in both Ohio and California, the "good" thing about Lakers fans is they respect us and our tradition. Even though they hate us just as much as we hate them, you have to respect a franchise that has been there and done that for so long.

Cavs fans, on the other hand, are mostly bandwagonners who just started watching their team when LeCrabDribble arrived. From my experience, they aren't nearly as knowledgeable of NBA history, and have no respect for our tradition.

Also, while the media is certainly on Kobe's junk, at least he has won 3 titles. LeCrabDribble is treated like the greatest player of all time by the media and the refs, yet he hasn't even won a title.

tp for your post, because i feel the same.I rather be respected even if im hated than disrespected and hated at the same time.I feel there is a certain amount of respect the lakers carry for the Celtics that the Cavs can't grasp.

KG comes back we kill chitown tonite rip Noahs hair out and make Brad Miller eat it.Then we beat Philly, yes I said Philly bad 4-0. Then we take on Cleveland, beat them 4-0, make Varejao cry(he can keep his hair),Pierce dominates LeBron(again) and we're in the Finals. We take on LA or Denver win 4-0 rip VujaEdited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.s hair out put him in a crate somewhere in antartica where he gets eaten by penguins. We force Pau Gasol to take a shower and then celebrate thats my choice; deal with it

I'd MUCH rather see us get to the Finals and lose.  That way, we can still say we crushed the LeBrons and wave it in the face of the bandwagon Cavs fans, and we'd get to see the Celtics play more in the post-season, even if it did end in a loss.

At first I thought BEAT LA. Then I thought no wait. What's wrong with another historic chapter of these two teams? That's the whole point.

Then I thought BEAT LA! I gotta go with BEAT LA!  Cleveland deserves a winner led by a local boy. They've earned it with plenty of pain.

If you are amongst the bloggers here who would inexplicably prefer the Lakers to win it all over Cleveland, this is probably not the thread for you...

The impossible question: Which would you prefer?

1.) This Celtics team defying the odds and blowing past the Cavs to make it to the Finals only to lose to LA, or...

2.) To lose in the ECF to the Cavs, who would win it all?

I am one of the green-eyed few who still believes that the Cs have a puncher's chance to win it all, just for the record, but this one has me scratching my head...

Choose the sword and you will join me, choose the ball and you will join your mother!

I'm pretty sure I posted this last week and I already said I'd rather the Cavs win it all than get to the finals and get crushed by the Lakers.
