I haven't watched the game yet but I've seen the call on Ray which ejects him of the game in the highlights. I've re watched it many times and I still don't understand why the referees called the foul on Ray while it's obvious that it was Miller who was fouling? :o ???

Miller moves on the screen, fouls him intentionally and the call goes on Ray. Referees are just awful

The last couple of calls against Ray were weak.  They may have technically been fouls, but contact like that happens on just about every play in the NBA.

It looked to me like Ray fell/tripped on Miller which is why the double foul was called.
Miller fouled Ray which caused him to tumble into Miller.
In this instance, shouldn't the first foul be the one called?
It wasn't Ray's fault that Millers elbow became part of the screen.
Practice? Whatchu talkin about practice?

I felt personally cheated when that call came, it was ridiculous. That call and his 5th call when Gordon was running along the baseline and acted by throwing up his hands might have actually been a even worse call

Ray didn't commit 6 fouls in that game, it's that simple.

yep, the officiating as a whole continues to be god awful in this series as a general rule. It's hurt and helped both teams.

Gordon is an awful faker.  I love how after the second time Gordon fell down after a J trying to draw a foul Tommy Heinson goes "this kid falls down every time he takes a jumpshot!"

the first one was the worst, ray barley brushed him, and Gordon just let his legs go jelly like and fell. I can't even blame the ref though, at full speed it looked like ray killed him. then they went to the ultra slow mode and it was clear either the legendary garden sniper head shot him or he suddenly forgot how his legs worked once he knew ray was close to him on landing.

But as i said, I can't fault the ref on that particular call, at full speed it looked like ray murdered him.

i am sorry, i have to disagree. that is why refs get paid well. to make important calls. when a ball is thrown by player a twenty rows into the stands, that is easy. refs are there to make tough calls. they have failed for both teams in this series.

It was a moving screen on Miller. The one I also didn't like was earlier when Ray wetn to the floor and had to call a time out...Miller stuck his leg out and tripped Ray...no call.

Ray got hosed in this game. I can actually understand the foul where Ray pushed him on the baseline. Ray put his hands at Gordon's chest and Gordon knows hwo to play that.

But the other foul where Ray barely bumped him on the fast break, the non call on Miller when he tripped Ray and the double foul on ont he screen that ejected Ray...terrible.

If it is a double foul, you give it to Miller. Isn't Ray the superstar and Miller the journeyman hack?

I thought it was a star's league? Or is that just for Lebron and Kobe?

Watched the replay last night and the 4th foul was just as bad - Ray and Gordon are running side by side down court.  Gordon moves toward him, puts his arm onto Ray's waist and pushes him.  Foul on Ray.

I didn't go back and look at the first 2 called on Ray, but of the last 4, 3 were not fouls on replay, and one was a foul that is almost never called in a playoff game.  Gotta love the NBA.

I lost my temper on that call. It raised my blood pressure 40 points, I'm sure.

The referees have had by far their worst year in policing the action. The NBA front office must revisit the rule book this summer to help out the refereeing for the integrity of the game. Why not look at how the FIBA refs call a game? From what I see, they do an excellent job of calling a game. US NBA players have struggled in international play at times and a good part of it is the trouble they have to adjusting to the way the FIBA game is called.

NBA referees are a freaking Joke (or Joak if you will).
