Not throwing in the towel or looking past the remaining playoffs, but just something to talk about.  How do you think Doc and the C's should handle KG next season... and the rest of his seasons moving forward.  It would've been impossible to sit a healthy KG in the past, he wouldn't go for it, but maybe after this season he'd be more willing to listen.

I think something like 60-62 games taking a couple games off per month, 30 mpg tops.  Big Baby has proven he can play some meaningful minutes and hopefully he'll be returning.

Also, what about Allen and Pierce?  Ideally, Giddens and Walker will be ready to step in and play a solid 16-20 mpg, allowing Allen and Pierce to also be around 30-32 mpg as well.

Backup point and center... that will be interesting to see how they do.

Good topic. Based on their ages, the Big 3 need to have their minutes significantly reduced during the regular season if we want to compete in the next two postseasons for the title. I have to believe if Paul's minutes were handled better this yr, right now we'd be resting for a week after a sweep. He looks exhausted and isn't going to likely recover his energy in time for Lebron playing 7 games serieses (What's the plural?) leading up to the ECF.

Stop making excuses for Pierce. Even Tommy said he didn't think Pierce playing big minutes would cause "fatigue." When you're a professional athlete, two days rest between games is enough to get back to peak performance. The problem with playing a lot of games and a lot of minutes is this; a player will inevitably tire mentally, but not physically. The C's are paying Pierce insane amounts of money. He's supposed to be the guy that can be mentally tough, and pull out a great game even when he's not psyched up. To say Pierce is playing badly because he's hurt, fatigued, or whatever, is asinine. He's playing badly because he's playing badly. No other excuses are necessary, and that's the end of the story.

I wouldn't call your post "asinine," butt I will say that what Pierce is getting paid does not have an effect on how exhausted he is. You can be tired, while making 1 million a yr or 20 mil. KG is making I think 25 mil, should he be playing major minutes right now, injured or not?  Pierce looks fatigued, exhausted, tired or whatever word you want to call it.

There have been plenty of other threads discussing Pierce's performance thus far in the postseason... can we try to keep this one on topic?  Pretty please?

No change - the minutes are already handled well
