They're a 7th seed, a young team, with a small rotation with 2 players who have just arrived and lead by a rookie, that is tied 2-2 vs. a 60 wins team and current Champions - doing it by playing gritty, though basketball for 3 games out of 4. They were on the verge of going 1-3 down and they won a big game after 2 OTs.

They have all the reasons to be content with themselves and to celebrate.

Perhaps, but if the Bulls look forward and examine the way game 4 went down, they'll realize that they barely won a game with a TON of things in their favor. They can't count on all of those things going right for them again.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

What they will actually say is they managed to win despite multiple unforced turnovers in the second half. They had multiple turnovers where they threw the ball away without any pressure. They will say if they would have avoided that, the game could have been won in regulation.

I believe the rule is that if you go for a player's head, it is a flagrant foul. Miller went for Baby's head, and didn't make a play on the ball.

This is hilarious. Why would he make a play on the ball when it was already a dead ball! Haha. Grasping at straws.

Ben Gordon is a streaky player. He has *occasionally* hit those before. Sometimes he just catches fire. He's played well this series, but it doesn't become talent until he becomes consistent like Ray Allen.

Again, if that helps you sleep at night. I'm sure you can come up with justifications for everything.

And again, I'm not providing reasons for the Celtics losing. I'm saying all of the aforementioned things had to happen for the Bulls to sneak away with a victory, and that that type of a win is not IMPRESSIVE, and so they should not be IMPRESSED with themselves.

Please research "confirmation bias".

Funny how you don't give the bulls credit when Gordon hits a shot. Illogical Bulls fans can do the same by not giving us credit when Gordon misses.

If this is what you have to do to be able to accept a loss, do what you have to do. Pretend there are real and fake wins.

I'm not grasping at straws I simply misspoke. He went for his head. That's a flagrant.

Way to take what I said about Gordon being streaky, reference it condescendingly, and then offer no rebuttal to my argument. You lose.

I don't give the Bulls credit when Ben Gordon hits that shot because it was a ridiculously difficult shot over a taller defender from a streaky shooter who is capable of putting up 42 points on 58% shooting one night and 15 points on 35% shooting the next. Its hit or miss with Ben Gordon.

and I could accuse you of the same "confirmation bias" because you seem to be dead set against my views before even considering any of the information I present.

P.S. I'm done with you because you're insufferably arrogant.

EDIT: Actually I'm not storming off makes me look immature.

That's one distinctively pro-bulls way of looking at it.

They can't count on all of those things going right for them again.

Why not?
The best parts of the Bulls' game have shown up consistently in the series so far, and I don't see that consistency going away. This thread makes it sound like their win was a fluke when it was in fact well-earned.

In today's game they had a drive that hopefully showed the C's that their only way out of this series is by exercising dominance. Capitalizing during overtime simply won't be an option, especially when looking at the way that went today.

I don't think game 3 represented consistency. Game 1 they snuck away with a win, game two they barely lost, game three they were annihilated, and game 4 they snuck away with. I'd say they've been living on the edge of the cliff the whole series, and I don't expect them to keep up their balancing act.

Why don't we agree to disagree. This argument is dragging on forever.
