  • There can only be one.
It seems that we've got what we wanted. :)

Will Marbury get hot or blow up this time around? We will see.

  • Rondo = Good
Interesting.

Still, with Doc extended minutes probably means barely 15.  Unless Marbury can get hot scoring it wouldn't be a big deal, either.  I mean, is he going to take away from Rondo's minutes when Rondo was the best player on the floor last game?  I imagine he'll probably be in at SG for Ray if Ray continues to play poorly, though I'm not sure that's a better idea than playing TA to defend Ben Gordon.

I guess we'll see.

Not so sure that extending Marbury's minutes is the answer. He hasn't been a disaster like Cassell was last year, but he's been invisible.
He has played better over the last couple of weeks, and is obviously trying to fit in and be a good teammate. And he is our only real pg besides Rondo, but IMO he should be getting 8 minutes and Rondo 40, unless Doc wants them both on the floor at the same time.

very much so, don't think Marbury could limit Rose better then Rondo could (as far as you can limit a guy like D. Rose)...

our problem are our undersized bigs (don't sign both Leon and Glen in the offseason, Danny!) and the lack of defense intensity every second game.

Why? I see no reason for his minutes to be extended other then to keep him from being a problem

Well, I wouldn't say that's getting what anyone wanted.

But in light of the way Game 1 played out, it is definitely interesting.

Don't understand the logic behind extending Marbury's minutes unless it is to give Ray more of a break and limit House some. Rondo is essential to beating this team with Rose playing for the Bulls. Heck he was the C's best player on Saturday.

This just makes no sense to me.

I think he would have played more on Saturday if Rondo wasn't the only consistent offensive threat on the team that night.  They simply couldn't take him off the floor.

He would have played more on Saturday if he hadn't looked like crap when he did play (as usual).

And rondo still played 6 less minutes then rose..

I would have played rondo the entire game, I wouldnt be worried about more minutes for marbury myself

I STRONGLY disagree.  I think he played very well when he was in there.

I don't think playing Rondo the whole game is good for the team.  Rondo is best when he has the energy to really turn up the pressure.  When he plays too many minutes, he paces himself, and also falls asleep on defense.

I think Doc should be playing TA a lot more. He's a great match up for Gordon and Rose. Rondo should be playing the whole game or close to it. Lastly, the C's need to make a better effort to get Leon involved in the second unit. If we do these things, we should win easily. Oh yeah, it would help if Ray Allen showed up.

Adjustments, utilizing our depth at P.G. to rough up, run around and dish on O, and keep in front of their high scorer with aggressive D.
Adjustment must be used. I like Stephs hustle on D; As well as Tony, both should be given more PT, imo  ;)

As has been said, Rondo needs to preserve some energy, best best done on the bench, not while on the floor on D. during this long post season.
Also, Much can be seen and learned from the bench view. We need all our guns and depth with maximum intensity on D!

Ray will be fine... But Tony should share some of his PT for his D and slashing drawing fouls!

What is essential to beating this team is the whole team playing defense, instead of watching Rose take uncontested 5-foot jumpers.

As much as people rave about Rondo's defense, he won't really shut down a player 1 on 1.

I would think the logic would be to play Marbury and press a lot more or at least really get after him defensively to try to take Rose out of his rhythm.  Does that make sense?
