Celtics will win tonight for sure.

Reasons?

1. We are better
2. Ray will explode
3. Baby will get 10+rebounds
4. Marbury will play more minutes
5. Pierce will be angry

6. I will watch the game (sorry, I was at a gig last saturday and couldn't watch it live  ::)

Go C's!
7.  Perk will be angry:
Quote
“For sure you have to be angry,” Kendrick Perkins [stats] said. “It’s the playoffs. We’re at home, we want to get the win, You’re mad. I’ll be mad all through (today), until we get the win.”

It isn't good to make Perk angry.

Today's ref assignments

Pat Fraher  http://www.covers.com/pageLoader/pageLoader.aspx?page=/data/nba/referees/2008-2009/referee403944.html

Not a bad crew as far as refs go.

Thanks for posting this.  It has been said before but bears repeating: it is a shame that the NBA has come to the point where the identity of the referees matters...
Celtics fan for life.

I'd like to see Doc find a way to get Tony Allen guarding Rose more tonight.

Maybe a 'small' lineup with Perk and Pierce up front, with Allen, Allen and Rondo?
Rondo should still be able to handle their 2-guards, imo.

Anyone can do better than the job done at the end of game 1.  However, it sadly didn't have much to do with us losing that game.  What a weird game that was overall the more I've thought about it from the reffing to Paul's missed FT, to Tyrus Thomas outshooting Ray Allen.  Please, this is bizarro world.

If we want rebounding why is BBD out there? 3 rebounds is completely pathetic for a PF. Start Powe and he'll finish the game with 20/10+. We'll see what that girly man Noah gets in the rebound column after that.

I don't know what Noah would have in the rebound column, but I guarantee he'll be sore after getting backed down and bumped off position by the Grown Man(tm).  Leon, please leave any finesse at the door tonight.

Is Jon Barry commenting the whole series? I couldn't support him for a half during game 1 so I'd rather know if we'll have to listen to his stupid comments for every game.

agreed. If i have to listen to Jon Barry again I might seriously consider throwing my tv out a window.  Its as if he just makes stuff up as he goes along.  Like when he said Marbury hasnt contributed since he got to the Celtics.  Sorry man that guy has kept Eddie Money hot from 3 from the second he came here.  Great observation though Jon Barry you almost made up a correct one but instead just made all the Celtics fans dislike you more.
The NBA..where "this whole sport is a business and the referees decide games and David Stern is a snake and is only in this for the money" happens.

The Q is pulling double duty tonight at the Sportsbar - Celtics on one TV, Bruins next to it. Celtics need this one a lot more to even the series and give us a fighting chance. The two things that concern me are:

Outworking Joakim Noah - I think Perkins will take care of this detail.

Keeping Rose out of the paint and make him a jump shooter.

I have to believe that Ray and Paul will have better games and Tyrus will cool off.
Wins are few, times are hard. Here is your bleeping St Patricks Day Card.

If they continue not to play transition defense they will lose again. And the two biggest culprits were Pierce andf Perkins.

The C's just need to play harder from the get go. Get after it on defense in transition, and then they'll be fine.

Skill and experience should prevail. Go Celtics!!

True. Hopefully the C's will come out ready to go from here on...  :-\

And I highly doubt Ray is going to go 1-12 again... or that Rose is gonna go Jordan on us again. Heck if he averages 30 for the series, the Bulls absolutely deserve to advance.

We saw the cracks widen in the Celtics armor on Saturday, but i still expect them to hold strong and prevail.

One free throw and they would have.
