with all the ongoing speculation about what exactly is the nature of the knee problem KG is having, my biggest remaining question about him is: when are we going to hear from KG himself?

that would go a long way IMO to know whether there is still a chance of him returning.

I'm still hopeful that we will actually see KG in these playoffs.

Here's what Marc Spears said this morning:

Quote
No one in the NBA detests talking about his injuries and admitting to being hurt more than Garnett. When the 14-year veteran is out with an injury, the media will see him from time to time without being able to say anything more than hello as he quickly walks by with his head down. The Boston print media has not spoken to Garnett since he last played, against Orlando March 25.

Garnett, who tried to run before practice, wasn't available to speak to the media and now it is uncertain when he will address the injury. "He's here," Rivers said before practice. "But he just didn't want to come out and he doesn't want to talk to anybody. I feel bad for him."

So, basically, nobody knows.

Thanks Roy.

my worry about the injury is that it is cartilage related and that the pain is bone on bone and/or loose cartilage getting into places where it shouldn't be.

time will tell.

still pumped for the playoffs anyway. and like Doc said, feel bad for KG.

Be a man KG and talk.  Quit hiding behind the walls.  Sit on the bench and cheer your team on.  Talk to the media and say what's on your mind.  This crybaby act is just too much.  Quit your pouting and be a man.

Um, he is going to sit with the team in the playoffs according to the news reports. Him talking about it is not going to change the fact that he can't play. Do you really think he can add anymore then what has been said? I'm doubting it.

It's only been  a day since the news. I don't really expect him to jump in front of the cameras at an instant to chat about the injury. Give him a couple days. The media isn't your best friend who you talk to when you're upset they actually might be the opposite
