Hmmm, it is always difficult for you people to not get personal..that is why i leaned toward listening to others thoughts..I just posed a question.....overplaying or not.....get it.....Don't call me out unless you are really considering coming to find me...I will help you there.....It is JUST my opinion that he MAY have been overplayed, now maybe it was pre-existing..maybe it was just a thing..but don't come at me..just talk about it....or....ask me for a time and a place..I live locally in town and am always easy to find if you can't keep it basketball and reasonable.

You mention "but too much playing had to be the reason". "Had to be"? Sorry doctor. The problem isn't too much playing this season. The problem was too long of a career. As players get older, they are likely to get injured.

KG has been playing a long time. His body is worn out and heals slower than a younger player. The only way to avoid such problems is to retire.

Amen.  And also what Roy said.

im asking you your opinion, not challagning you to a fight, i dont think anyone in this thread has come close to personaly insulting you.

you said doc played him far to much. given that, why is asking how many minutes would have been reasonable considering you say 30 was to much an attack on you of some kind? we're allowed to disagree with you/ ask you to back up your stance. so how many minutes under 30 would have been the correct amount for doc to play him a game?

I didn't say anything about a number..I didn't disagree to 30 or more or less. Haven't you or anyone here ever went running/training...then you see you need to take a few days off to heal/recover...?  Like "allstar weekend
" for KG....I am not looking for any trouble...I just like talking hoop......So maybe he shouldn't have played every game due to his age and years in the league....He is older than Howard or Lebron....that is a coaches wisdom...to "know" when to rest his players...that he sees almost every day......maybe that is asking too much....?

so pretty much no matter what doc did, it was going to be wrong is what your saying. he had to instinctively know what days could contribute to a possible injury situation and what ones were not.

sorry, that doesn't make any sense to me, he's not a jedi who knows that "uh oh, at 11:21 in the first quarter of the Orlando game tommrow, KG's tendon is going to strain/ the beginnings of a bone spur will start. best to play him 10 minutes tonight and rest him the next two games, then go back to 30 a night".

I appreciate your frustrated like the rest of us, but what you propose, that he should intrinsically know when players are developing injuries 12 years into their career is not based in reality.

the thing is, he has played a long career.  he could have gotten hurt in preseason.  he could have gotten hurt the first minute of the season.

blame Flip Saunders!

Wait!

blame Flip Wilson!

We can't blame Doc. Things of this nature happens unexpectedly whether you play ONE second or 48 minutes. At the same time, they knew Kevin had a gimpy knee and should've rested more.

If for anything its Ainge for not surrounding Doc with NBA ready players. Also look at the spurs, Pop manages minutes as good as anyone, and now Manu is OUT & Duncan is injured while playing limited minutes.

you can not blame doc rivers for this one bit.  he is going based on the information and recommendations of the medical staff.
