Starbury shining means Starbury is shining. We can all shine together.  If Star is playing great it doesn't mean others are playing bad.  We are a team.  We can all simoutaneously hop on Star's back to the title!!!!

assuming rondo and ray's minutes go up in the playoffs
(which they will) to 36+ from the 30 they get a peice now, that leaves 24 minutes for him, house, and eddie off the bench at both guard spots combined in the shortened playoff rotation.

lets say he gets 12 of those a game, which he wont. (none of the three will)

you think 12 minutes of him trying to beat the other team one on one by being starbury is better than the driving and assists and defensive effort, if not always results, he's giving us now by fitting in and playing the role of backup PG?

I don't.

I like the thought that the whole team shines together. If Marbury steps and shines - even if it's just for 10-12 minutes a game, that could be absolutely huge. Basketball is a game of possessions. A handful of fantastic possessions by Marbury over the course of a few minutes could easily be the difference between losing by 2 and winning by 3.

right, agree.

i guess my problem is i feel like people don't appreciate that lines like:

5 points/ 5 assists/ 2 steals and the way he runs the team in like rondo does (read- up tempo) combined with how him and house are clicking are very good for a backup PG,a nd game changing.

it just seems like sometimes people want him to have lines like

12-2-1 so they can say how great he's scoring.

Me, i'd rather have the first line out of my back up PG, if that makes sense.
