I can no longer deny my beyond irrational man-crush for Eddie House. He wanted the record tonight. He got the record and I seriously could not be happier for the guy if he was family. He could've gone somewhere else in the offseason for more money. He's played for seemingly every team in the league at this point but he came back here. He was the one guy I wanted back. Just a classy vet to have off the bench that knows his role.

And for really the first third of this season he struggled. Eddie couldn't buy a shot unless the team was up 15. He was rushing shots and his shot selection wasn't always the greatest. But shooters shoot and he just kept on shooting. He should've been in the 3-point contest, probably would've won it too. He started to get hot before the break with that torrid stretch of games at the end of January where he went 25-38 from behind the arc during a 5 game stretch including 3 games where he hit at least 7 3's. After the All-Star break he walked onto the court and immediately burst into flames. He was know hitting BIG3's during crucial points in the game, sparking runs and occasionally saving games.

And while I was extremely hesitant about the Stephon signing, it gave Eddie the room to slide down to the 2 and continue doing what he does best which is come off screens firing. I am amazed at how quickly those 2 were able to build chemistry on the court. That speaks volumes to Stephs desire to sacrifice at fit in as well as Eddie's desire to help make a potential volatile situation a virtual afterthought.

He's a great shooter, he plays decent if not spectacular team defense and he's a terrific teammate. When he was down earlier this year I never stopped rooting for the guy. Congrats again on the record Eddie $$$$$. I am so proud of you.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

I've just finished reading ":07 Or Less," which is outstanding JUST for the Eddie Money anecdotes.  Like, finding the opposition's scouting report on him that reads "Only shoots the ball when he has it in his hands."  The guy's got his flaws, no doubt, he'd end up in D'Antoni's doghouse for the exact same reasons he got into Doc's doghouse at times.  But as a shooter, he's worked himself into being one of the absolute best in the league.

I'm still p---ed they didn't invite him to the three-point contest - [dang] YOU, DAVID STERN!!
