  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
Not interested, all that ability and he still has shown no signs of putting it together, why would he do it now? Gerald is destined for European basketball.

I think we should go after Gerald for next season AND sign antoine.  :o
He's already been replaced with walker, giddens or pruitt take your pick, add in next years draft pick
Gerald isn't smart enough to play in the nba.  He can dunk and has a nice shot.  A perfect point of why guys should go to college.  Or play in the d league until they learn proper.  With europes pick and roll plays and solid d I'm not sure how he'll do in europe.
globetrotters?

  • Basketball is like chess, only without the dice

Yeps. I don't think there's a good contract in Europe waiting for Gerald. There are literally hundreds of players better than Green - especially from the perspective of FIBA basketball - fighting for contracts in Europe. Unless he's willing to play in countries like Portugal, Finland, UK, etc, but in that case the contract is not going to be that good. In fact, I wouldn't recommend his acquisition by our ball club and our best player is a former NCAA Div 2 Player of the Year who never had a realistic chance of playing in the NBA (the closest he went was a pre-draft workout for the 76ers).

I think Green should try China or another Asian League to make some money. He's not good enough to play pro-basketball at a high level.

Terrible Idea.

treat a guy whos been in the league 5 years like hes a first round draft pick? makes no sense...did you not see the POB saga? Gerald has no place on this team
When you got it going, you got it going. I just keep my focus down the stretch. That's when I want the ball. I'm just not afraid to fail."-PaulPierce

Yeah, I hear ya, I just don't really care about that right now, planning anything beyond 2010 at this point is pretty much impossible, especially in the D Wade/Bosh/Lebron conference.

yea i know but historically we've always had the next upcoming Star of the team playing off the bench while the previous one was still here. Whenever we didn't we'd have to go through a couple years of bad teams to get another lottery pick, and im afraid that if we accept those years it'll end up being another 20. I just wish Red was still here to configure some super trade to get us another great player. The year we won the championship we drafted Len Bias second overall, thats just insane.

We already have the next star of the team, he's just not on the bench. Hondo to Rondo!

true, and he has shown the ability to make players who look like reserves fit into the offense when he's running it. TA and BBD look like Pierce and KG when they have Rondo to set them up with good looks.
