  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
ESPN is reporting it now.

Dumbest quote I've read in a long time:

The frizzy-haired Varejao had his own take.

"You don't hit a man in his [groin]," he said. "He doesn't like Brazilians or he doesn't like my hair."

How about, he dosen't like being thrown down and tea-bagged by a player with 1/10 of his value as a player and as a human being.
Andy is right though. You don't hit people in the nuts. That is so 2nd grade.

right because clearly in the video he knew where his elbow was going even though he was looking straight ahead .

If someone put his teabag on the back of my neck, you can bet i'd through an elbow backwards too, and if your twig and berries happen to be at elbow level, i guess you shouldn't have been standing over me.

but again, this is a non-issue. suspoend and move on, because thats what we do in todays nba.

I wonder if little whiny female dogs like Andy ever get down on there knees and thank the lord they weren't playing back in the 80's.

Bill lambeer, for example, wouldn't have thrown an elbow. He would have stood up and punched andy's teeth down his throat, then curb stomped him for putting his sack on his neck.

Then he would've thrown a fake chili cookoff, and the day before fooled Varejaos's parents into going to the farm of a paranoid donkey owner, then after the paranoid farmer had killed his parents, butchered them and served them to varejao during the fake chili cook off, all the while avoiding the chili Varejao brought that was loaded with the private hairs of all the kids from town. Then, after he had revealed his deception, he would've had Varejao's favorite band Radiohead come out and call him a whiny cry baby. Man. It really is a good thing Varejao wasn't playing in the 80's.
You forgot the part where Ray would lick up his tears.

What? Ray Allen would never do that. He's way too classy.

that quote p---es me off so much.  im not condoning ray's elbow, but i understand why he did it.  but for verajao to accuse/imply that ray may not like him due to his ethnicity is beyond ignorant and inappropriate.  i hate that freaking guy!

As far as I know, Ray Ray has never elbowed Leandro Barbosa in the nuts.  It must be the hair.   ;D

Or, alternatively, it could be that AV attacked him first.  Although, I have to say, I do think Bruce Bowen is prejudiced against point guards.  He's attacking their nuts all the time.

Ray Allen got suspended on a cheap elbow where Varrejeo didn't even move and barely affected him after Varrejeo started it with locking arms.  Trevor Ariza ran Rudy Fernandez down on a breakaway fast break down 29 points wound his arm back and took a swipe at his head knocking him to the ground and put Rudy on a stretcher and did not get suspended and Rudy did nothing to Trevor.  That is what is wrong in the NBA. I'm not saying Ray shouldn't get suspended I think he should get suspended 1 game.  But when somebody puts someone on a stretcher by initiating the play and the contact that player also has to get suspended if you are going to suspend Ray.

exactly, the inconsistency in the nba is maddening.....both with their suspensions and officiating of games.

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Good, Ray is a class act, but you don't deliberately pop a guy in the stones no matter what they just did to you.  He can sit out his game and we'll all welcome him back with open arms and crossed legs.

Ray needs the rest.

Varajeo sounds like a tool with his comments.

Does it bother anybody else that they suspend Celtics for stuff like this but not always everybody else?

Me too. God there is literally nothing I wanna see more than Lebron beginning his "Fullback's Charge" towards the basket only to be dropped like a sack of taters. Not injured, just dropped
