If Kevin Garnett is healthy, the Celtics have the best team in the NBA bar none.  That said:

I,___drza44___, believe wholeheartedly that the Boston Celtics can beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in a seven game playoff series with a healthy Kevin Garnett.

Oh yeah, I know they can win a 7 game seires against the cavs, the cavs just gotta miss a couple shots at home for once, and ray, pierce and rondo gotta start looking like NBA players in ohio

The C's can absolutely win a 7 game series against the Cavs.

I would love to see them swap Paul and Rays role in the offense (thought that would be risky as for some reason Ray never plays well in cleveland) let paul be more weakside and off the ball, b/c lebron is just a monster, worst match up for PP in the league b/c he takes away pauls power game and first step. For pierce to have a good game against lebron his J has to be working.

I would be interested to see how letting Rondo, KG and Ray play 3 on 3 vs cavs on the ball side would work. Plus, lebron is not going to stray too far from Paul on the weakside so we could take away their best help defender or have PP shooting wide open shots. Also the added bonus that Paul is by far our best defensive option on lebron so let him expend more energy on the defensive end.

Thoughts?

My guess is this thread doesn't gain as many responses as the "You just saw the 2009 NBA Champions" thread, unless the "woe is celtics" people start hi-jacking this one.

This is what we know.  The Cavs are a very good team.  The Celtics are a very good team.  But the Cavs' manhandling of the Celtics yesterday means about as much as the Magic's manhandling of the Cavs last week.  It was an instance of one team playing very well and another team playing very poorly.  It means nothing once the playoffs start.

Depsite the feelings of some, I still feel the Celtics have a good chance of beating anyone the face in the playoffs, wherever they play.

TP to everyone who signed the statement. I don't think I missed anyone, but if I did, just let me know. Go Celtics!

Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

However, I would not be surprised if the Cavaliers won the series without going to Game 7 even if Kevin Garnett is healthy.
