Wondering if anyone has heard how he has played in Europe this past season.  Would be nice to hear progress. Sounded like a bit of an under-achiever based on the DraftExpress report I read about him, but that was written last year.

He's starting to fit in well with the rest of the guys at the office... The language barrier is tough, but with some luck Erden will develop into a decent salesman.

Oh, you meant basketball-wise? He's a strong company league post option, off the bench to spell Franklin in accounting.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

This is kinda off topic, but I've always thought that quote by Mayo (your sig) is just an example of how much out of touch modern athletes are with reality...but it actually makes a lot of sense. If you were a #1 recruit (like Mayo was), you could just choose what school you wanted to go to. The colleges werent offering you anything, you were offering them something. So why waste your time giving your cell phone out to anyone? They're just gonna call and call and try to get you to do what they want you too.

Guys... I just clicked on that link posted by IndeedProceed and Erden's file says that he is 2'10". I would think a 2'10" center wouldn't have a chance in the NBA... now I know why hes stashed over in Europe. Did nobody notice this earlier? Am I missing something?

Two things...

First:

HAHA TP

and second:

Taken out of context, I would agree, but if taken with the rest of the article, you would see how that displayed just out of touch Mayo was with reality, including his incredible strategy of choosing a college with no basketball tradition so he could make his own, and then leaving after one season and a first round NCAA tourney loss to our very own Bill Walker's Kansas State team. I had to pick one quote in the article that I thought summed up Mayo's sheer ridiculousness, and I went with that one.

He sure has transitioned to the NBA pretty easily, which is all these kids care about for the most part.

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
2.10 meters = 6.89 ft. He is supposed to be our next white hope?
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine

Erden is still tall and breathing, that's all that matters right?

I think his game stats are in metric, also.  If you convert I think he is averaging a double/double.
