While looking up a V image for SSFan's latest incarnation, I came across a rumor that there would be a remake the 80's TV series V.  Maybe it was just the age I was at the time (teen), but I absolutely loved that series and would be interested in seeing a modernized version.

Anyone remember "V"?

I loved V.  How can you not like Nazi-like lizards ruling the earth?  I'm sure it would lose some of the allure if we were to re-watch it, due to advances in special effects, etc., but I thought it was a great series.

Wow, what an old article you dug up lol. Well this is not a rumor, the show is being made... it has been greenlit and parts have already been cast. I'm pretty sure this will come out this Fall, maybe next Spring.

So far I know Scott Wolf (Party of 5, Everwood) and Morena Baccarin (Firefly/Serenity) are on it.

Thought I'd bump this topic since I just started watching the original mini-series. Hopefully it'll be a good one, I've never seen it.

Anyways, for those interested the new V remake series is going to premiere on November 3 @ 8pm on ABC. Here's a promo:

A bit of bad news though. The series won't start until November, air like 4 episodes then take a break till April or something. I don't know what they're thinking... hopefully they can build some fanbase during the time it's off, else it's going to be a disaster.
