Wizards Win. Yesss.  With a healthy KG we win the east this year.  I'm sorry but Lebron and mo williams, not enough.

That's what 3 Superstars does for you. Consistent effort every game.  Plus Rondo. Going down Lebrons. Going down.

If that's what the Cavs get for losing one likely meaningless regular season game to Washington (they haven't mathematically clinched the top seed yet, but it's going to take an incredible collapse), I wonder what an appropriate response would be to the Celtics getting blown out in Indiana, getting run out in the fourth quarter in New York or losing in Charlotte, all of which occurred with a healthy KG.

I'm a fan and certainly feel optimistic about our chances with a healthy core.  But your assessment is a complete non-sequitur.

I just started watching, but has Arenas looked this sluggish all game?

Yep.  The Wizards look a lot better with him and Haywood back, though.

I really hope by the grace of god Lebron James does not get into the conference finals against the C's....at this point he just puts his head down and runs into people...ugh. I do not wanna watch this for 7 games

It's gonna get him injured at some point.  As physical as he plays, he's been extraordinarily lucky thus far in his career.

Yeah, Arenas clearly isn't himself, but he's geting it done in other ways tonight.  I'm not fond of Arenas, but credit where credit's due:  this was a gutsy game from him.

Varejao fouls more than anybody in the league.

Mikki Moore says hi.

Haha, touche... the only difference is that Mikki gets called when he commits fouls.  Somehow, the refs don't see when Sideshow is flopping, hacking and flailing his way up and down the court.

Well played.  TP, jpd.

Atzar, I'd probably agree that AV does his share of acting, but would you agree with me in taking a player like him on your team any day?  I love the energy he gives them off the bench, especially at the defensive end and on the offensive glass.  And if he can pull a few fast ones on the officials from time to time, more power to him.

Oh, definitely.  He's one of those players that you love on your team and hate on everybody else's.  He's a member of the latter category, though.

I continue to maintain that Caron Butler is the most underrated SF in the league
No. That would be a guy by the name of Paul Pierce.
most people have paul as the third best SF in the NBA if they count kobe, 2nd if not. Paul was underrated for a long while but the playoffs last year kinda solved that whole "no national spotlight for his talents" angle.

butler is up there. im also a fan of granger for that title, though that secret is starting to get out in a big way.

This is fact.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Granger has quickly become an excellent scorer in this league, and he is no doubt fun to watch.  I would say that it wouldn't hurt him to increase the diversity of his game a bit going forward - but given the volume and efficiency with which he can score, perhaps I'm picking at straws a bit.

As you say crownsy, within a year or so, I wouldn't be shocked if any remaining "secret" around Granger was blown to bits.

There was a very good article on ESPN about Danny Granger earlier this week.  Let me see if I can find it.

EDIT:  Here it is.  http://sports.espn.go.com/espnmag/story?id=4018165 written by Chris Broussard.

Thanks for linking, Atzar.  I'll try and take a look as soon as I'm done laughing (and writing) about Phil Jackson actually admitting that his team misses VladRad, the Space Cadet...

TP here.  I am glad you said this first before I came on here and had a chance to post.  Lats night was one meaningless game in the regular season.  The Wizards also always play the Cavs tough in the regular season.  It's the playoffs where they can't beat the Cavs.

Lebron also held a nice little party in dowtown DC on Wednesday night (or so I have been told).  May not have been the smartest idea.

Either way, a loss to the Wizards does not guarantee the East to the Celtics this year.

Finally, Paul Pierce is not underrated.  Smart basketball fans know just how good he is

This loss last night was huge for the C's chances at second place.  Because of this loss, the Lebron's will likely come out tonight in Orlando with a chip on their shoulder, trying to prove they aren't lying down (besides, if they do lose, it makes it plausible...although not probable, that the C's could catch them, if they don't continue to go hard for the rest of the season).

Because of this, I expect Cleveland to handle Orlando, and if the C's can win tonight, all they will have to do is win 3 of their last 5 games (as long as the losses are not to both NJ AND Philly), and they will have the second spot locked up.

Sure does, and he is not underrated, he may be under-hyped.  He may not get a ton of press, but it's not like people don't know how good he is.

Granger is my best example of an underrated 3

Lots of posts condemning Ainge for ruining our chances to repeat by not signing Posey?
