Doc has some good out of bounds plays out of time outs. Last night I especially liked the one where BBD set a screen for Rondo then rolled to the hoop, Pierce inbounded to Rondo and ran to him faking a handoof, with Rondo then driving to the hoop and having a 2 on 1 with BBD. this led to a sweet bounce pass and dunk.

So I was wondering if celticsbloggers, might use this thread to describe, illustrate, or ideally post videos of some sweet celtics inbounds plays. As a coach myself, I'd find great joy out of executing successfully a Celtics inbounds play or two with my team. I think there are few more coaches on this site too.

At the least if anyone has a clip of the Rondo/BBd play i described a Tommy Point for that.

Excellent defense on an inbounding play.

Not exactly what i was talking about, but I'll give a TP for responding and for a classic clip.

p.s. Are you saying Doc or Thibs had something to do with that play? ;)

I really liked seeing that play from Pierce off to Allen on the screen in the corner. We've ran it down the stretch a few times and won a game on it, but i really liked seeing it to open the game.

About half the play is here...does that mean I get half a TP?

Rondo really makes the play with his hesitation before cutting to the basket.

The fake pass to Pierce by Rondo was really a great play!

I can't remember which inbound play you're talking about, with the screen of BBD and Rondo? If you knew in which quarter and at what time it was made I could upload it if you want.

Well, I just found out that I misunderstood your original post. I thought you were talking about two diffent plays, that's why I couldn't find the BBD screen you were talking about because I was searching for it in the plays of the 3rd quarter before the great fake by Rondo. So I uploaded a nice play by BBD at the beginning of the video though it has nothing to do with the inbound play (which comes juste after in my upload). Consider that as a reminder of BBD's big performance! ;D

This is changing the subject a little bit, but I am surprised nobody has been talking about Big Baby's block on Joe Johnson.  I thought for sure that was going to be #1 on Sportscenter, but it didnt even make the top ten.  Come on, that was a nasty play.  He not only blocked a DUNK, but he caught it in midair.  That was just an incredible play.
Baby Jesus!

Ok I'm adding this play. Doc deserves credit for getting Ray open by using Big Baby for two picks, which based on his size is kind of four picks ;)

TP, for the four picks comment, that's funny.

KG did look hilarious, you can tell how much winning means to him and how desperate he is to play.

It's amazing that to close out a game when the C's just need a basket they opted for a three pointer, that's how good Ray is, a shot from 23 feet is his best shot, not to mention the fact that it was absolutely in Noah's face!

Everyone always says Doc runs great plays out of timeouts, and we see it time and time again, whether it goes in or not, the majority of the time the Celtics get a good look at a shot out of a timeout and especially to end a game.
