It seems like Rajon either twists or sprains an ankle every game. I was looking at his shoes and it seemed he was wearing low top sneakers. Could this be a reason he's getting injured? Do low tops give you less stability than high tops? Players get top notch tape jobs, but would a high top give you extra stability? discuss.

well last night i dont think high tops would have prevented DH's fat behind from coming down on it, but overall it might be a good question.

any people with more shoe knowledge know?

Johnny Rondo has turned an ankle in both mid and low tops.  With his speed, a true hightop shoe would only hinder him.  The tape jobs need to get better.  That is the only thing that can help minimize the damage when his foot sticks.

If you notice, he stops A LOT on his lead toe.  This causes a lot of the problems in the situations where there is no contact with another player.  I guess that those roller skating stoppers have programmed him somewhat.  Anyway, last night's tweak couldn't be avoided no matter what shoe you wear.  A big lands on your foot while falling backwards and you will smart a little regardless.
