I like him.  He's small and not a true point guard which is obviously a problem.  But he's awesome at attacking the rim and scoring.  He's got incredible toughness and great explosion to the rim.  If there is a place for Nate Robinson in the league, there is a place for this guy.

Nate Robinson is a much much much better player then Bynum.

but bynum will come at 1/3 the price. i'm a big fan of picking up back up guards and swing players on the cheap. how much would this team like to have flip murray and mo evans right now? combined they make scal money...

I don't think we undersized scoring guard for this team. Backup C (depending on Baby/Powe's status) and backup wing are the biggest questions. If Tony is considered lost then maybe....

I like Bynum, he's great putting pressure on the ball. He used to terrify the Euroleague guards with his defence. Unfortunately, he's still an undersized shooting guard who can't really shoot. If he can develop his pg skills, then he'll be deserving some consideration as a primary guard backup.

I'd rather stay away from Robinson. He's a thug.

I'd stay away from both.  but that being said, Robinson is still a much better player

i think he's likely to fall into the category of players who's talent exceeds his positive influence on a team.

He's the next Lindsey Hunter. Detroit knew that and let Hunter go last year. He's a tenacious on the ball defender, has a good handle, and is extremely athletic. They don't need him to be a shooter or scorer (as much as the Knicks do with Robinson). He's much more of a pure point. I just like his defensive ability.

Is he supposed to be a bad team-player??

wasnt the rep on him that he wasnt a good defender and wasnt a pure point guard but more of a slasher/scorer?

that being said, I am very surprised with what he is doing.  14 points, 9 assists, 2 rebounds through the first three quarters tonight.  He is certainly playing better then I thought he was capable of...
