Mikki Moore might as well not even be on the floor defensively, just stay on the offensive end and look for the fast break.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...

Basically.

I hope to God he doesn't have to defend Howard.

We are really going to miss Powe in this one.

Boxscore says Celtics have a 7-1 FT advantage. Dare I ask if the refs are on our side so far?  :o
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Well that was fun.

By fun do you mean vaguely disappointing?

Horrible turnovers, dumb offensive fouls, no boxing out and a 7 footer that is having balls taken away over his back from him by a player that's behind him.

And yet we are down 4.

Sometimes I wonder how this team stays so close with the terrible ball they play at times. it's the reason why the win so many games.

Hmm...  Mikki Moore trying to keep Howard off the glass.  That's going to end well.  :P

I was watching Mikki to see if he would be in position.  It looked like he got in decent (not great) position, but Howard barely noticed.

I dont understand why we have BBD guarding Tony Battie, and Mikki Moore on Dwight Howard.  BBD will at least be able to box Dwight out, while Mikki is useless

You've got a knack for the summary -- concise, honest, bitter and hopeful all at the same time.   ;)

What worries me -- not just about this game, but going forward -- is that Doc seems to think that because Mikki is 7'0" he should be able to guard centers.  And he just can't.  Baby is a much better match-up against Howard and most other centers; for that matter, Mikki actually makes some sense against Battie.  So I don't know why the initial match-ups were as they were.  Maybe Doc was worried about Baby picking up fouls?

FWIW, Powe did an excellent job guarding Howard the last game.  Obviously that may vary game to game, but with Mikki as the alternative, we gotta hope Leon is back and in something resembling game shape by the 2nd round.
