how am i out of my mind when they are losing games because they don't play with the energy needed to win them? they get big leads and blow them...some of you guys think that when the playoff start all transgressions of the regular season are forgotten...i recall many on this board complaining when boston was healthy that they didn't finish well.....there is no guarentee that they will be 100 percent healthy come playoff time and boston has had a problem ALL SEASON letting teams back into games and not being able to finish teams off.

you don't think the fact that pierce and allen are playing 44+ minutes in some game's has anything to do with thier inability to hit shots late?

your out of your mind because you refuse to entertain that having 7 players out, 8 tonight, has anything to do with tiring at the end of the half and game.

he just explained that the starters are getting over worked and the only reserves we have healthy enough to put in are playing out of position, not known as defensive players, or are very inexperienced without defensive schemes and/or playing in the nba in general.  Which leads to opportunities for teams to cut into leads.

The effort displayed by the second unit in the second quarter was garbage. Period.

The injuries are a factor - but this second unit doesn't defend, and it doesn't play with an iota of urgency.

no your right, trying to play it off like all they need is a win one for the gipper speech instead of key players back is much less retarded sounding.

mabey we can hire al pachino to give the half time speeches.

Im not excusing thier play, im just laughing at your absurd notion that a team should be just as sharp on both ends of the floor when its running out the end of its bench for major minutes, and if it doesn't, it's all about "thinking your good" and winning one for the gipper.

that works for the mighty ducks because its a movie.

lol youre saying that not us.  Every night at least once in the game thread you throw the team under the bus by saying lets forfeit all the games, they shouldnt be on the floor in the nba, and all that other nonsense.  Youre the negative one.

a 33-15 quarter without d wade playing playing is unacceptable.

im sure, as your saying, it has nothing to do with this lineup having to play for 5 minutes because pierce and rondo were sucking wind and perk was in foul trouble, keying a 12-2 run that extended to a 20-4 run as the starters checked back in out of rhythm.

eddie house (defensive captain)
marbury (3 practices, not known as a good defender)
gabe pruitt at the 3  :o
bill walker at PF, giving up 5 inches to beasly
mikki moore at C ( 3 practices, terrible shot blocker)

clearly all desire. nothing to do with the fact that miami isn't retarded and abused moore and walker with JO and beasly.  ::)

Come on crownsy, it's all desire... That's why even if this team started Eddie House's kid, Donnie Walhberg, and Matt Damon at the 3,4, and 5 they should still beat everyone.

The celtics want to win. They have desire. But they also aren't bringing the same level of effort game to game, quarter to quarter. They aren't bringing it like they did last year.

I completely agree that the depleted roster is killing us. Doc subbing too many new faces together at the same time is killing us. But the lack of effort is playing into this. Every defending champ goes through this. Its hard to keep the foot on the gas throughout the entire season. KG's intensity makes that near possible though.

Nonetheless, the Celtics should not be surrendering 33 points in a quarter to tonights opponent. The team's pride is on the line tonight.

whatever...just calling a spade a spade....the effort after they got a big lead wasn't there...

I am at work so unable to watch the game.  I'm listening to it on the radio.  When I heard Wade was out and saw the start, I figured cakewalk.  That second quarter was stunning.  Win or lose, I'm no longer quite so disappointed that I can't watch this one.

as opposed to you, who bury them every night, including games they win, the minute they go down more than 6 points after the half.

hopefully they will be 100% by playoff time, and if they are I guarantee they will play MUCH better than they are now, if you want to disagree Ill give you my reply in advance by asking you to check their record with a full roster and not half of a roster.

enjoy the game, im done argueing about this.
