Apart from the mods who boot you for "Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.reak"?

I think the rules are pretty clear.  If you swore, you deserved to be booted.  I ask the chat mods to be strict and if anyone has an issue with that, they can contact me directly.
