http://www.ballineurope.com/us-basketball/nba/dennis-rodman-to-lead-nba-legends-in-europe/

All I know about this is what I read in the link, but if it's the NBA Legends tour I would think the NBA would be involved cuz I can't see them letting others use the name like that.  So check out this roster of our global ambassadors

Dennis Rodman - are you kidding me?

Stanley Roberts - banned from NBA for drugs (was re-instated though)

Oliver Miller - alwasys battled weight issues, suppossedly disciplined by the Suns for showing up late to a game, Bag of McDonalds in hand.  Released from Harlem Globetrotters for having no appreciation for what it takes mentally and physically to be a Harlem Globetrotter. (per wikipedia)

Shawn Kemp - drugs (pleaded guilty), fathered large amount of children with multiple women

Orlando Woolridge - suspended by league for violating it's substance abuse policy. (Seems to be way behind him though).

Kenny Anderson - not  the greatest poster boy for the NBA.

Norm Nixon - arrested on suspicion of DUI yesterday (3/16). Of course if not for that I'd have nothing to say about him.

Then you have these guys teamed with seemingly class acts like Dee Brown and AC Green, and also throw in the always entertaining Darryl Dawkins and I just find this to be one of the weirdest collections of basketball talent out there.

I'd be really surprised if this is a real NBA event.  Not saying those guys are bad or anything, and I'm all for second chances and all, but you know how the NBA is, I would be surprised to see them throw them all together and have them tour Europe.  It just that this seemed like one of the strangest collections of talent of retired players that the NBA could put together.  David Stern has surprised me yet again (that is if this actually has anything to do with the NBA at all).

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I'm still reasonably sure this team could beat the knicks and the kings.

This team is like a "Who's who" of '80s & '90s misfits.

Was Vin Baker unavailable?

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

I don't know about the alltime all-fat team running with the Knicks!  Picture Oliver Miller, Dawkins, Stanley Roberts, and Kemp from his fat days trying to make it over half court before the Knicks score.
Well, I think Big Baby can will be able to join a team like this in 2020.

NBA Legends is a better team name than former NBA misfits.

Now I want to know were Michael Rya Richardson, Roy Tarpley and Richard Dumas unavailable.

I remember reading a story about how Oliver Miller once left the bench to eat some pizza during a game - the coach calling his number to go in and Miller satisfying his appetite. IIRC that episode happened in Toronto. Probably just an urban legend.

This has nothing to do with the NBA; Stern would never endorse this kind of freak-show.
