Why is Moore rusty? It's not like he has been injured or not playing for a good amount of time. I mean, has anyone here ever seen Moore playing significantly better than he's been playing with the C's?

Yes, he played better when he played for the Nets a few years back...which was really the only time he played for a good team that I can remember.

Anyways, the real problem with Moore is that because of injuries he is being asked to do MUCH more than he was brought here to do.  Let him go back to being the 10th man, and an extra option against long, athletic front courts, and then we will see his value.

Yes, everyone knows the 06-07 with the nets was the best year of his career by far, so yes Ive seen him play significantly better(with a playoff team) than hes been playing with the c's...that said he shouldnt be rusty, hes played over 900 minutes in the NBA this season, but hes clearly  rusty in terms of the celtics schemes etc, that and he went from the kings...to the celtics...the differece in the gameplay and style is huge

Moore wasn't a different player with the Nets than he's been his entire career with one exception: his jump-shot during the regular season. From a jump-shooting efficiency that has been more or less around 40% through out his career (a decent number for a big), he fired into an insane 55% accuracy rate. Other than that, was he a better rebounder, passer, defender, blocker, did he take better care of the ball or fouled at a lower rate? Not really - he was either very slightly better (e.g. fouls) or very slightly worse (e.g. turnovers) than his career averages.

So, was that a fluke or the Kidd effect? I don't know, but was Kidd out for the playoffs? Because in that year playoffs Moore came down to earth and shot his ordinary 40% on jump-shots. Anyway, let's hope Moore has a stretch where he's shooting with the same accuracy he showed in Jersey. So far, in his already very long career, shooting like that for an entire season was a singular happening - that he wasn't able to carry in the play-offs.

Anyway, disregard his jump-shot and he's playing exactly how he played in Jersey. Have people forgot how they got killed on the boards by Cleveland? That alone cost the Nets the series.
